I think Jerry had enough after that last play call. Quinn appears to be Jerry's guy.

Nah.

Shanahan blew the Super Bowl that Quinn was the HC in.

When they are charged with calling plays it sure does.

He could have called a kneel down and they win that game.

Fangio DC in Miami.

He and McDaniel seem like a great fit.

The Colts are preventing Reich from hiring the DC in Indianapolis.

I wish the Colts did that last year but they basically drove Eberflus and his boys to the airport.

I meant the Panthers won't allow him to hire the coach from Indianapolis.

Fangio has been the man behind the iron curtain for the Eagles defense this year, many concepts of his appear on the tape

Nobody wants to coach the Broncos? Can't all be Wilson. Probably the guy that married into the family causing friction with potential hires.

I like Payton but not at this price..they don't even own their 2023 first rounder so this doesn't make sense

Wow Denver just keeps digging their hole deeper. They got a washed up awful QB. And now they will have even less draft capital to make anything better.

They better hope Payton is a miracle worker

Payton will get a long leash to prove just how good a coach he is. I give the guy credit for wanting to jump into that situation.

He might be the best QB in the building.

He doesn’t deserve credit for that. He could pick from a 1/2 dozen suitors and he picked the one that best met his desires. Was it money? Power? Or ego where he believes he can fix Wilson? In any case I don’t think he took the job because he viewed it as the biggest challenge.

DeMeco Ryans to Houston. They may draft Will Anderson now.

Freaking weird ass head coaching search. They get turned down by several choices. Payton leaks that he doesn't like one of the ownership group folks stepping in his area. And then you got the one owner flying to Ann Arbor to suck off Harbaugh a 2nd time. They end up hiring Payton anyhow.

He must absolutely love football and being a coach, and/or he is getting a ton of guaranteed cash. Its worth the move for the Broncos, but I can't see Payton have much success there unless he plans to stick around for like 8-10 years.

If he can channel Pete Carroll and Wilson can shake this season off I think there can be some noticeable improvement. Obviously there is collateral damage that will be hard to overcome right away.

Quote:
The Broncos had traded their first-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks in last year's blockbuster trade to acquire Russell Wilson but then acquired a first-round pick from the Miami Dolphins in the trade that sent Bradley Chubb to Miami last season. That pick originally belonged to the San Francisco 49ers, who sent the pick to Miami in the trade that allowed them to pick Trey Lance in the 2021 draft.

It makes sense for Denver. They essentially traded Bradley Chubb and a 2nd for Sean Payton and $22 million in cap space.

I'm going to say Denver will still enjoy at least 2 more seasons below .500

Sean Payton won't be able to miracle work that situation for a while yet.

Russ got better toward the end of the year and they have a decent defense. Assuming Wilson isn’t completely washed, I don’t think it’s as bad of a job as it may seem on the surface.
