Save for a few Lovie years, the Bears have largely been a doormat since Ditka was fired. Their ineptitude has nothing to do with Rodgers failing to win a big game without a bunch of help. And yeah the mid-late 80s Bears should have made at least one more Super Bowl.

If Justin Fields has a Rodgers type 15 year career in Chicago and only plays in one Super Bowl, yeah I'll be calling the Bears out too.

EDIT- Potash is wrong. Ditka made 3 NFC Title games. Lost twice to SF and beat the Rams.

My response was to your comment: "No professional sports team did less with more than the Aaron Rodgers era Packers." I would say the mid-80's era Bears did less with more.

Over the past 30 years, no professional sports team has done less with HoF talent than the Packers.

You would say that and be wrong as the mid 80s Bears did not have a HOF caliber quarterback who continued to flame out in the postseason.

The Packers seek to be consistently good rather than occasionally great. The thinking underlying the Jordan Love pick captures this dynamic.

Good enough for their fans to subsidize their business by buying worthless stock certificates.

Maybe. The Favre Packers won it all, won the division and made it back to the big dance the following season. That's pretty good.

After Rodgers lone SB appearance, he went 15-1 and laid an egg at home to the Giants in the Divisional round.

Imagine a peak Aaron Jones with Higgins, Adams, MVS, and Watson.

Now, your future is Eddie Lacy and Watson catching passes from an inaccurate Love.

 Nicely played.

Note: Higgins has been in the same # of SBs as Rodgers. They could have been in one together...oh well. Go Gute!

In that time frame the Bears have had consecutive winning seasons only twice and the Packers 18 times. Sorry, but I'm not complaining about watching a consistently good team for 3 decades...and sour grapes from Bears fans is more amusing than it is insulting.

That's why they can keep selling certificates to you. I would be pissed if I only had 2 Super Bowls despite having 2 of the 5 best quarterbacks in the past 30 years and 2 of the top 10 quarterbacks in NFL history.

Yep, GB fans are sheep. Spending two picks on Love when Rodgers is MVP is like KC drafting Will Levis instead of the best RB or WR available in the draft. Instead Pack fans rolled with it.

You won 2 with Rex Grossman. You would feel different if you had 2 of the 10 greatest quarterbacks.

I (along with most Packers fans) am very happy to have witnessed 3 decades of great QB play. It's really a lot of fun. I get that you wouldn't understand the feeling so I'll cut you some slack on that but why in the world aren't you pissed about watching a mostly horrible team for 3 decades?

This has already been addressed;

This is a Packers thread. There are hundreds if not thousands of threads over in the Bears section in which us fans bash the team. Check that section out if you would like to talk/bash Bears.

As a fan, my expectations adjust to the talent on the roster. Young Nas wasn't okay with the Bulls losing to the Pistons, Knicks, or Magic. Older Nas was tough on Derrick Rose and Cutler for not sucking up a little pain. We probably wouldn't have a TV in the house if I were a Packers fan during the Rodgers years.

Chicago fans like to go for the kill when we have the opportunity. As much as we suck, we almost always win when we make it to a championship game/series.

I'm not so sure it was meant as a burn, and I think your reply just further proves our point. Even you would admit that Eli wasn't as good as Favre or Rodgers. He has more rings than those guys though which is what matters.

You seem to be happy with the 4 SBs, 2 of which were pretty recent. Zippy seems to be happy to 10 win seasons and losses in the division round. I guess that's why there's chocolate and vanilla.

It is the single greatest root cause of your team's failure to capitalize on Rodgers' greatness post-2019. I respect your denial, it probably helps with the coping process.

I am happy to watch a good, entertaining team that has frequently been a contender to win it all. Of course I would prefer that they win the SB each season and several have ended with me screaming at the tv. Then I move on to being mad at the White Sox. You seem to think that Packers fans should feel miserable, but in the scheme of things it's been a much more positive experience than negative.

Over the past 30 years, no professional sports team has done less with HoF talent than the Packers.

It really is strange how obsessed you are with this. Seriously.

It is the single greatest root cause of your team's failure to capitalize on Rodgers' greatness post-2019. I respect your denial, it probably helps with the coping process.

It really doesn't explain why this bothers you to the point that you seemingly bring it up in every Packer thread. I'll let Hawger, FF and UMN speak for themselves but it just seems weird that none of the actual fans seem to stew about the 2019 draft as much as you do.
