Their 4th quarter touchdown was on that short field after the Mahomes fumble and needed that 4th and 6 to Chase in double coverage for 35 yards.

He's been great so far in his career. He's just number 2 right now and there is a decent sized gap until he gets some hardware.

Nothing wrong with this take , Nas.

It's crazy this isn't the consensus take. Everyone wants to crown a new king so badly.

There's some of that, but it's just a bunch of college kids.

Burrow made some questionable throws in that game and should have had at least three interceptions. He also held the ball way too long on a few sacks and failed to slide in the pocket when it looked like he had room to do so. You'd be absolutely murdering Fields for similar errors.

When LTG asked if Burrow's sacks were on him or the offensive line, I said both. Yes, he held the ball too long at times. His sub 2.5 second release time wasn't on display for parts of the game.

You are just making stuff up. Everyone here that has said it is close has said that Mahomes is #1. No one is dissing him. He is great and #1.

I'm not making anything up. Saying there is a decent sized gap is making it clear that Mahomes is in his own tier. That should be the consensus take. You and others are wrong for saying Joe is in the same tier.

You are wrong in saying we are trying to crown a new king. No one is doing that. We are just recognizing that Burrow is pretty damn good. Not quite as good as Mahomes. But he is in the picture.

If you are now agreeing with me that Mahomes is in Tier 1 by himself, then congrats on coming around to the right take. If you don't believe that, then nothing I said is made up or wrong, and I'll go back to my "it's crazy this isn't the concensus take" stance.

Can we at least agree that Rodgers and Fields are in Tier 4?

Mahomes and Burrow are tier 1. Mahomes is 1 in tier 1 and Burrow is 2 in tier 1.

You have yet to address last years result. Burrow took a less talented team into arrowhead and won the AFC championship over Mahomes.

If Mahomes was in a tier by himself then how did that happen? They are now 1-1 in head to head championship games.

Hopefully we get to see many more match ups

Do you really need me to answer this question for you? It's wild to me that you would need me to, but I can if you want.

 it is good to have you back here. I feel like we are really close to getting to your "do you even watch the games" line?

Dumb play calling before half and Mahomes’ poor play in OT?

It's a fairly simple answer. These guys have entire bodies of work to look at. Why would you purposely make a big sample size into a tiny sample size? The answer is the only reason you do that is if you want to find the answer that best suits your narrative, not the correct answer. When looking at their overall bodies of work, there isn't anything that suggests Burrow is in Mahomes tier. Mahomes is getting his 2nd MVP this year, Joe has never even made an All Pro team.

But yes, watching the games should also lead you to the same conclusion looking at their body of work does.

Eli Manning took a less talented team into the Super Bowl twice against Brady and won.

If Eli is not in the same tier as Brady, how did that happen?

Really makes ya think, huh

Brady has played in roughly 20% of all Super Bowls and won 1/8 of them. If you want to compare Eli to his brother, I will do that. Eli won 2 Super Bowls, and Peyton won one.

He couldn't throw the ball 5 yards when the Broncos won. I received it, I just decided to return it to sender.

Philly's defense Brock Purdy's Mahomes and knocks him out of the game after only 4 pass attempts, Chad Henne comes in and the Chiefs still win...does that count as a ring for Mahomes

Well Brady is out of the hierarchy again. Maybe it sticks this time.

And he can enjoy the world's best semi retirement

Going into last season, I thought the league was in great shape with quarterbacks. There are a lot of questions after the top 6 or so quarterbacks.

There have never been more than 4-5 great quarterbacks and more importantly a sizable second tier at any time until now with all of the rules changes benefiting one side of the ball. But I agree and don't think today's second tier is nearly as good as the bloated numbers suggest. Hopefully the creative play/run calling will edge out the overpaid quarterbacks boring the hell out of the league and answer your questions.

the position is in good shape

there were some young guys who outperformed for their expected ages 1-2 years ago but haven't further progressed. It makes it appear to be regression but what they have produced is actually still impressive.

Higgins would be a great get. What would it take as far as draft picks tho?

that leak seems oddly specific, almost directed at the Bears

I've had enough of trading draft picks away and I'm not overly inclined to trade "a top" (read: the #1) for a guy on the last year who is looking for insane money. Obviously you wouldn't complete the deal unless an extension agreement is reached. I guess if you agree on a long term deal you give up a second. He hasn't been as good as AJ Brown.
