It's really dependent on their pitching. Their bullpen is kinda Shakey and unproven right now. That plus any long injuries to Steele or Taillon, or them dealing Stroman at the deadline, and a September crash while they play the rookies...

Yep, this Cubs offseason reminds me of so many of those early-mid 1990s Cubs off seasons that lead to terrible teams. Let's sign an overrated guy (Jeff Blauser) coming off of a career year, or maybe a #3 starter who we can parade as a #1 starter (Jose Guzman).

Everyone loves an over the hill slugger (Candy Maldonado), and why not pick up a once heralded prospect who has sucked and will continue to suck (Tyler Houston).

And obviously get a guy who is way past his prime (Willie Wilson). And for good measure we'll just sign a good old fashioned bust (Mel Rojas).

I know this is stupid, but I hate Pete Crow-Armstrong simply because of his name. I just can’t root for him.
