There's snow on the ground.

Calling for about 3 inches where I am at. For it to be 1/25 and to get the first snow to cover the ground is pretty incredible. Light and packy type snow. Slipped a few times driving into work. My guess is it will be a ghost town here in the office. Likely going to shovel the driveway tonight which should take over an hour but probably put on a podcast and will be some good exercise as I don't think it is going to be ultra cold or windy.

It snowed. 120 sucked as usual. The tri state was fine. The roads in Wheeling weren't awful, yet...but another inch of this and they won't send the plows out for days.

Its a nice snow out here. Probably will top out at that 4-5 inch range if it keeps up.Little wind though so that helps. Insulating the ground though so we can't run semi's to the grain bins to haul out beans before the township roads might post. Maybe tomorrow we can finish coring that bin.

we got one of our bigger snows since we have lived here. Got about 8 inches in our driveway. Thankfully temps will be up next couple days so it wont stick around too long

4-6 inches expected and likely more by the lake. Supposed to be light and fluffy so actually kind of looking forward to getting the snowblower out. Be safe out there if you have to drive. Pretty big pileup here just over the border in WI yesterday when snow was coming down hard for about 40 minutes or so.

Roughly 7” here just over the cheddar curtain, I’ll get out and move it shortly. Little wind and fluffy snow so it should be almost fun to get out there as it’s been a while since the snowblower has been employed.

Pretty weak storm for all the fuss about it up here. Called for 5-7" and maybe we got 3. Took 4 swipes with my snowblower last night at 8:30 just so getting to work would be easy and don't think it snowed another half inch after I did that. Getting the shovel out this weekend when it gets in the high 30s will be a breeze and some exercise.

Supposedly pretty bad sleet, and ice up this way. Hoping it isn't too bad, will go home for lunch and finish the day at the home office. Much better than denis' situation or my stepson up in Eau Claire where it is supposed to be even worse.

I would rather the snow than ice. Snow slows things down and shoveling can suck, but at least you can move around in the snow. With ice all over you can't do anything until it melts, and ice can bring down trees and power lines much easier than a snowfall can.

We have been very luck here in that every time there is a big storm that comes thru are temps have been just warm enough that its liquid precip. Chicago is in a 'snow drought' but overall precipitation is just about at normal thru this winter.

We received eight inches. Snowmobile trails open at 8:00 Friday. My driveway is cleared, sleds off the trailer, and I am ready to ride.
