Doesn't matter. The Bears were not going to extend Roquan long term. You bitch about the trade. You would bitch if they tagged him. You would bitch if they signed him long term.

Tommie Harris had an insane motor and made the plays. I wouldn't be shocked if Carter had a heart attack in practice.

Like Murphy if they trade down beyond #4, the Tuipulotu kid from USC has a great motor and some scouting reports think he could be a three tech if he puts on some weight, seeing him with a late first to early second round grade.

Seeing some wild speculation about the level of compensation it would take for the Texans to move up one spot, everything from the #2 pick and a 2023 2nd/3rd, to #2, #12, and a 2023 2nd round pick, the former seems more accurate.

Trading back a few times and picking up extra 2nd rounders seems essential because there are solid players that should still be there who will be day one starters next and some interesting prospects with seemingly solid upsides.

No, just Bernstein over-intellectualizing large people pushing each other.

Who’s your guy is the Sox math of radio segments.

Seems like #2 and #12 and a 4th would be the minimum. But that assumes that one of the lower teams such as Carolina or Vegas is willing to offer a couple of firsts and a few seconds as an alternative.

As a twist, it’s in the Texans interest to make the colts think they will do whatever it takes to move to1, even if it is not their intention as it weakens a division rival

It definitely appears so listening to them. But who knows really. This offseason should give us a real clear picture.

Trading a first round pick for a fringe #2 receiver was a Ryan Pace move.

The greatest GMs in the history of the sport have some bad moves. One move does not determine things. This offseason will give us a much clearer picture.

Let's hope! But to be honest, he was a disaster in free agency last year.

Colts are built to win today. They have an elite line, RB, and a nice receiving/TE core. Richardson is a project. They'd be back to signing the veteran bum of the moment, which they said they don't want to do any longer.

Yeah I dont see the Colts taking Richardson.

Colts really can't bluff on this. They might as well sell off their assets if they get the 4th best qb in an average qb class.

That would make more sense.

Has there ever been a successful quarterback who played as little and as poorly as Richardson? Cam Newton seems to be the closest comparison but he was elite his last year and it's a little skewed as he spent a year at a community college where he was dominant and he was also great for his last year.

That was one of the big knocks on (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky coming out of college and (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was more productive in college than Richardson.

I heard Brad Biggs on this morning and he said the talk around the combine is the " historically weak free agent class". Is it really that shitty?

The guys at the combine would know.

Who are the great QB's, left tackles and edge rushers in this years free agent class?

No big deal. We now allow D1 athletes now to personally deliver murder weapons to the crime scene.

great qbs, LT's and edge rushers dont get to free agency. they get paid by their team or get traded for a boatload of picks to someone who will pay them. i hope they dont go crazy in FA this year, they should be targetting 24 to truly compete

Fact is nobody knows who is the best in this crop of QB's. They are all lottery tickets. The 4th QB taken doesn't translate to "4th best".

Rarely are any good players in their mid 20's. available in FA Teams can delay with tags, 5th year options etc. See Daron Payne, probably by next year the Redskins will cut Allen, but he will be 29 by then. Best bet is finding guys in their late 20's that have a few seasons left in them.

The character issues just add more reasons to stay away from him.

Maybe he’ll slip to 7-9 and the Bears can get him there after trading back 3 times for 40 future picks.

Jalen Carter not being a top 4 pick is not good for the Bears.
