Good for Jones. Gmen have a good team and the NFC seems to be open. Might as well go for it now. Giants @ Bears in NFC Champ game in January 2025 8)

Jones gets 4 years for $40 million a year.

I’m curious to see what San Francisco does since they were reporting that due to complications, Purdy’s surgery won’t happen until at least Friday

Gonna have to cut Kenny Golloday(given), Leaonard Williams and Adore Jackson if you gonna do anything with Jones making 40 mil per year.

That team really has a lot of tough QB decisions.

Golloday is already cut. Williams is restructuring and they won’t be releasing Jackson.

Golladay was gone by the 3rd game last season.

Not really, their only move is to let Lance and Purdy battle for the job.

We will have to see exactly how jones contract is structured to know what affect it will have on their cap.

Well they have three QB's, two of them unproven, and none anywhere near good enough to be considered a top option.

The guy they traded 3 first round picks and a 3rd for is probably their worst option.

Purdy was easily one of the best quarterbacks in football for the 7 or so games he started. If healthy, he should start.

A good but not great Dlineman, a good but not great corner, perfect pairing for the good but not great QB making Josh Allen money.

You arent wrong - the giants have lots of holes to fill. But every roster needs good if not great players. Williams contract is the last true albatross on this teams docket right now.

The Giants locking up Jones and Barkley with big money is like the Bulls locking up DeRozan, Lavine and Vuc for the next 3-5 years. One season of fool's gold and now you think you're a contender. What they're really doing is finding a nice soft spot in the standings at 7-10/8-9 for the next few years.

Well, it appears 82mil of Jones deal is guaranteed, so if things really go south there is an escape hatch after 2 years.

They didn’t throw big money at Barkley, it’s a 1-year deal at 10mil. If he can repeat this past season it’s worth it. If he can’t they can move on. Jones is another story but you can hardly criticize the giants for tagging Barkley.

What's Mitch (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's cap hit for next season?

I’ve read jones 2023 cap hit is around 18mil. I’m no cap expert though, just what I’ve read from the giants sources I frequent.

That's solid. It is lower than the 5th year option. Good for the Giants. They'll pay in a few years if he sucks.

These teams would be smart to wait until after the draft to make an offer, unless you are the Buccaneers.

The bucs would be a dream job for any qb, lots of weapons. I'm in the Lamar isn't a top 10 qb camp.. but the bucs should give up 2 firsts to make that happen.

And you give up two first rounders & then have to give him a Watson contract.

If I were Snyder I’d do it - he’s selling anyway, so who gives a shit.

He needs to hire an agent. Teams are saying "I'm out" to drive his price down. IMO that's big reason for the non exclusive tag. Go ahead Lamar, try to negotiate a deal yourself.
