As the most recent Bears owner, possibly, but absolutely not. Also, I have only been a Packers fan for roughly 30 years, so some might have a different opinion.

I've stood up for Rodgers often but I do hate it when he says things like "my level". Bro, you're tied with Nick Foles and Trent Dilfer in SB rings. Win more rings than Eli Manning and then maybe you start being extremely full of yourself.

Yes, at least in my lifetime. Glad to have him but he’s never been my favorite player.

Favre was better than Rodgers.

Rodgers had better stats because of stat inflation. Admittedly though, Rodgers was great at not throwing interceptions.

Yep! Focusing on the interception record made him reluctant to fit the ball into a tight spot when he had to.

His entire life is about avoidance and he plays the game like it. Can't say the same thing about Favre

Yeah, Farve ( while great) lost them a lot of games with dumb turnovers. I'll take A.R.

Sometimes you have to take those risks to try to win a game.

Agree..but Farve was kind of a dumbass.. I remember his last game with GB..maybe it was with vikings. He could have ran for an easy first down and kept the game winning drive alive and instead forced a terrible pick. Game over

Brett Favre with the Packers: 160-93
Aaron Rodgers with the Packers: 147-75-1

That's pretty close.

It was a different era of football. Favre's last game with the Vikings would have been a win if AP didn't fumble multiple times and the Saints weren't trying to intentionally hurt him. They succeeded, but he gutted it out. He only had 6 interceptions that year, IIRC.

Then it was with GB, think they played NYG..he cost em the game in OT.. instead of an easy 7 yard scamper he forced a game ending terrible pick.

I remember that. Risk averse Rodgers lost quite a few playoff games with interceptions too.

It was in Minnesota and Green Bay, he had terrible interceptions late in both of those games. But I loved watching that dude play, he was an all timer.

Rodgers was better than Favre. Rodgers takes a lot of shit for postseason performance but overall he's played really well. He doesn't have anything like the 6 INT Rams game or throwing away the 2007 NFCCG. So yeah I'd agree with Zippy, he's the best Packer of my lifetime.

Let's hope Love makes it a 3 way argument in 15 years

Playoffs
Brett Favre 13-11
Aaron Rodgers 12-10

I don't really see much that differentiates them record wise which seems to be the main reason the lack of interceptions is cited.

Aaron Rodgers played in a quarterback friendly era, and he still played scared. He's a candle, and Favre is the sun. If I had 1 game to win, I'm taking Favre. It's not even close.

Lack of interceptions is big deal, as was stated earlier the turnover battle is one of the biggest differentiators of wins and losses.

Also Rodgers had more touchdowns and more passing yards in less postseason games, plus 17 less interceptions.

If you are getting 90's Favre you probably win. If you are getting 2000-2007 Favre you probably lose by double digits.

Rodgers has fewer Super Bowl appearances and repeatedly lost with more decorated teams.

I'll settle for 2009 Favre too.

Him being on the Packers prevented me from being a fan. There were few players I enjoyed watching as a kid more than him.

Yet their wins/losses are pretty similar both in the regular season and postseason.

Rodgers also played on teams with far better talent. Remember that the Packers had like 6 guys named Smith better than anyone on the Bears.

Farve had a better defense, special teams and I'd call the WRs and RBs a wash.. Farve had the better tight end and coach.

I don't think that's true. Rodgers only had a good defense one time and he won the SB with it. He's had some really good regular season teams but Rodgers was the reason why.

You are free to think Favre was better. For me it's an easy answer.
