I love watching big storms pass through. Gives you a sense of perspective.

And I can run to my basement like a little schoolgirl as well.
Best of both worlds.

I love watching storms too but we are driving around up near Schaumburg and I can hardly see a thing. Neither world is great or close to the best right now. :P

We've had warning after warning out here. Nothing terrible directly at the house but some pretty significant hail nearby apparently. This next one running through looks pleasant as it is crossing the river.

Secpnd wave that came through here had some hellacious straight line winds and a few more tornados near by. Been a while since I saw debris fly like that, probably would of lost trees if it was summer with wind like that.

Lipid said a couple tornadoes went 15 miles south of him and another 10 miles north of him.

Yeah, we had one about 5 miles to the northwest and 15 to the south. The one to the north was a little close for comfort.

Maybe not, but he’s stepped on his dick here so many times that IT has to be flat by now.

MABAS Division 8 out of Belvidere (Boone County) has a building collapse box alarm to the second level. The Apollo Theater in downtown Belvidere was hosting a Heavy Metal Show tonight with Morbid Angel, Revocation, and Skelatal Remains performing when the roof collapsed.

At least Caller Bob is safe from this nothingburger. I hope a tornado hits his house. At least he is vaxxed.

That's not Rockford idiot. How is your hillbilly south suburb? I hope it gets wiped out. Not all the hillbillys, just you.

Bob is a nothingburger.

127 tornadoes and 400 hail reports across 7 states- so far.

Got the mass casualty calls starting at around 8:30 last night, hung by the phone, but they were able to spread out the patients between several hospitals so did not have to go in emergently last night.

The local news stations in Rockford are hapless, was getting more up to date information from local Facebook and twitter, the local news people were asing people for info on social media rather than go to the source and get firsthand information, they had much better live coverage of trees that were down than the roof collapse.

I wouldn't call it a nothingburger. It got moderately wet out, aka wetter than Caller Bob has ever made any woman (he's gay!).

Tuesday is supposed to be the same deal in the same places.

I should have worded that post better. 127 reports of tornadoes. Clearly some of these was the same storm being reported multiple times. Survey teams will verify exactly how many in the coming days, but it appears that its possible around 90 separate tornadoes occurred across 11 different states on Friday and into early Saturday morning.
