At which time people can say they were wrong about Bears quarterback Kyle Orton or any other misjudgment they might have made. Yours truly appeared on North's webio show Monday at wildfirerestaurant.com to discover being named a co-chair of the event. As soon as Quick Hits can verify the Bears quarterback is not some guy in an Orton Halloween costume, the 'fessing-up preparations will begin.

* * Speaking of North, he and former/future broadcast partner Dan Jiggetts will make their first appearance together since announcing their Comcast SportsNet show, which begins in 2009. They will be attending Friday's ''Evening With the Stars'' at White Eagle Banquets & Restaurant in Niles to benefit the Gale Sayers Center. How he manages to con local media management is beyond me.

Elliot Harris is barely media and I am pretty sure harris is getting $100 bucks worth of wildfire gift cards to put that in for pappy. Harris and North deserve each other, both are bottom feeders.

It's a damned tough job to find cheesecake photos to run every day.
Plus it is grueling to pimp for that "Hoodoo" book every day that he co-wrote.
How can the Times allow that shameless plugging for the book, which
happens to be co-written by the guy from Harry Caray's?
Don't tell me that there isn't a lot of comped chicken vesuvio
floating around the Times sports desk!
