Nas is correct. Jones' production from last year is worrisome because rather than extend Jones' career by reducing carries his carries per game actually increased over his 2021 numbers. That increase is tied to several Gute-created personnel flaws most non-Gute bootlicking boy band members have covered extensively. The added wear and tear from Jones having to put the offense on his back because Romeo Drops/Christian Watson not being ready means he's at an even higher risk for regression this year. Additionally, the Pack will likely see more defensive coverages designed to stop the run until Gute's chosen savior earns the respect of opposing defensive coordinators. Maybe starting over arbitrarily has benefits no one else on earth can see except Gute.

In short Herbert's outlook is much better.

Aaron Jones was the best running back in the NFL for a couple of years, he's still productive, but the Packers don't want him beyond this year. Why? Age and expected decline in production.
