To bad Packers fans haven't demanded that of Gute.

This is the type of incoherent rambling I am talking about. No need to join him. I don't know why you and vegan think assigning hypothetical super bowls in alternate realities helps your arguments.

The rest of your post like the Adams stuff has already been debunked in this thread.

You don't think Higgins would have improved the Packers chances of beating the Buccaneers and a handicapped Mahomes, but Vegan and I are the problem. On second thought, the brain has a way of blocking traumatic events.

We literally had a Packers fan say the Packers would be better without Adams. That Rodgers and the offense was better without him. Out of the kindness of our hearts, we tried to tell you all that wasn't true..

Of course the offense wasn't going to be better without Adams, anyone who said otherwise was being dumb. It wasn't me.

Maybe they would have won with Higgins or maybe LeFleur would still decide to kick a fg when a td was needed or maybe rodgers would still come up short. Maybe they would have won it all. Who knwos. It's hard to win a SB, it's silly to declare winners in alternate hypothetical universes.

My thoughts on Adams leaving are never going to be understood because someone refused to listen to what I was saying and interpreted to fit their packer hating agenda. He is an amazing wr and they were an amazing combination but the offense hit a wall come playoff time because Rodgers would go off script and lock in on him instead of running the offense as it was meant to be run. Just because Adams can beat double coverage does not mean you should always ignore your other receivers and throw to him every single time. The last 2 playoff losses both featured Rodgers forcing him the ball and failing. Rodgers always had well rounded games when Adams was hurt because he had to distribute the ball to everyone and use the open man instead of just forcing it to your guy. Brady would have won both those playoff games IMO Swallow your pride and take what the defense is giving you instead of taking what you want regardless of if its there or not.

So the Pack should have gotten rid of Rodgers three years ago, and not Adams last year.

They should have told Rodgers to eat shit when he threw his tantrum a few years ago. They would have gotten an insane haul for him and despite the MVPs he was a massive playoff failure those two years. Who knows how that situation would have played out if they didn't get down on two knees for him like they did. Ideally Rodgers would have checked his damn ego at the door and run the offense like Brady would have. In hindsight yes they should have gotten rid of Rodgers. He didn't win a Super Bowl those years doing it his way. I wish he would have played out his contract and quietly worked out some kind of extension while also leaving money for Adams and I wish he would have worked within the offense more instead of calling plays at the line to get Adams in a matchup he liked and forcing it to him.

Good job not hitting a wall in the playoffs last year.

Thankfully he mailed it in last year and it led to his departure before they were in 5 years of cap hell because of him. He has a 107 mil hit for the Jets next year. Can't wait to see how they work around that.

Scottie ran the Bulls offense perfectly in 93-94. The Bulls won a lot of games. His teammates loved him, and they likely lose to the Rockets in the Finals if the refs don't cheat. That said, I'll always want Michael Jordan on my team.

Adams was/is a Michael Jordan type of receiver. As MANY of us understood, he made Rodgers better. It wasn't the other way around. He was Rodgers safety blanket. The Lions mauled them without him.

Adams is now Michael Jordan. This thread has taken many turns but this one is certainly out of the leftest of left fields.

He's the best at his position. He's been the best for about 5 years. You preferred this version of Randall Cobb because the offense is ran properly.

I didn't call him a Tom Brady type. That would have been going too far.

What are the odds that GB picks up Love's 5th year option? I'd say 20% chance they exercise that.

I don't think they have a choice. Not picking it up essentially means they're looking to draft his replacement next April. It's also another sign they should have drafted Higgins. You can't say that to Packers though.

It's a 1 year extension that has a base salary that's $7M less than his 5th year option would have given him. Not only do the Packers not believe in him, he doesn't believe in himself. That's encouraging.

Technically you were correct...they didn't pick up the 5th yr option.

It's only $13M that's guaranteed. That's less than the $21M the 5th year option would cost them.

TEAM FIRST! He's keeping his cap number low so Gute can bring in more talent--like a new starting quarterback.

When he plays well this year, 24 will be ripped up and a new contract will be in play.

It's a win-win. The Packers will end up with plenty of cash to spend next season and won't have to deal with repeated questions on the 5th yr option. If Love proves to be decent, he will get an extension commensurate with his skill level.

Unlikely. The Packers will make him prove it again in 24 and possibly tag him in 2025. It's good business for them. As a player, I wouldn't hedge if I believed in my abilities. I would have told them pick up my 5th year or you'll have to tag me in 2024 after my all pro season.

Nah. He's on a one year tryout. If he plays decent he gets a huge bag. If he's bad they will move on.

Florio is on the Score right now arguing that LaFleur, "quietly one of the best coaches in the NFL," has won a lot of games in spite of Aaron Rodgers (and the tension between Roders and Gute) not because of him.
