My older brother and I were HUGE Sesame Street fans. My oldest kid was the only one who kinda liked it. My youngest doesn't want to watch anything except Sid the Science Kid so there is no reason to buy any useless merchandise.

I'd love to punch that annoying little idiot Sid the Science Kid right in his face. Plus, his dad is lamer than Calliou's dad.

The best characters on Sesame Street were the aliens who would say "Yep, yep, yep" as they walked closer to you and would imitate alarm clocks. And the little blue Everyman guy with teh mustache. The pre-Elmo Sesame shows are great to watch when stoned.

I was maybe four when my mom went to a convention and brought me back an autograph from the woman who played Susan. That I and my 2yo sister were so excited is frightening .

And thank God SpongeBob wasn't out when I was in college. I'd have skipped or slept through even more classes.

Winnie the Pooh was much darker, you had the Pooh guy who was obviously an addict who frequently put his friends in extreme peril by stealing "honey", which everyone knew was him stealing drugs. Eeyore was always getting his ass kicked by the "bees" (drug dealers), and of course you had the crack head Tigger behaving live a coked up Robin Williams during a 1980's Tonight Show appearance.

Also never got why Popeye was so enamored with Olive Oyl, maybe he had CTE due to his daily ass whuppins from Blutto?

Maybe it was because Popeye was out at sea for long periods of time and adopted an any port in a storm approach to women?
