There was a guy that owned many restaurants in that location that was part owner. Pretty sure Mango was part owner as well.

People don't care about celebrity restaurants anymore.

Ditka's restaurants will fail. The one that just opened in Wheaton is overpriced and under-delivers on food quality. The rip eye steak I ordered there looked like it has been processed and frozen. The only thing that was good was the fresh bread.

Who cares about Jordan's restaurant in Oakbrook? No one.

oak brook ditkas is pretty good, great service, maybe a tick expensive but so are it's competitors and grill 89 in Westmont is decent.

I've always been surprised Jordan's made it, I've never been but should give it a go. It's expensive even compared to what's in the area. I miss Clubhouse in Oak Brook, we'd usually end up there 2-3 times a year or so and did a few private events there. I loved their bisque. I've considered trying to track it down. Still miss the Claim Company and of course Marshall Field's.

The one I don't understand is the capital grille. I need to try restoration hardware but I'm put off by it.

I used to drive by that hotel all the time and would notice Jordan's restaurant maybe 3-4x/yr.

Ditka's across from Oak Brook used to do a pretty good buffet brunch on NFL Sundays. I don't know if they still do, my mom was alive the last time I was there so that had to be 7-8 years ago.

Ditka's at Arlington Park lasted only a few years. Had my Dad's 80th birthday party there in 2015. Food and service were good. And my wife and I would go on Friday nights for the half-price wine bottle special they did. Also on New Years eve, early, before things got crazy. Bartenders were always both nice and competent. One guy was Pete Carroll's doppelganger.

Seemed they never tried to market themselves. Like Arlington Park, they are missed.

We would go with my father in law to the one in Oak Brook when we visited as it was just a bit down the street from where he lived. Always seemed very busy.

My mother went to Jordan's downtown some years ago with my aunt around the time they were winning the Championships and who did she see? Scottie Pippin! She shook his hand.

Now I want to go to Jordan's in the Oak Brook because she told me that story. I read that the steak is good, even if overpriced.

My sister dated a former 3rd base coach for the White Sox in the 80s and he took us to Jim McMahons place after a game once. It was, to say the least, a bit underwhelming. Gone soon after.

If there are more than 2 name changes, then the location becomes a failure.

People will not come.
