I loved "Saturation." I'm surprised he lasted this long.

R.I.P. Johnny. I feel really bad. He had his problems but he was a good guy.

Incidentally, Tina Matlock lived at The Bank long before Urge ever made it their headquarters. Hazardous Youth even used it as our mailing address. 1624 N. California. Right next to the North Hotel. It's a little more gentrified than it was in our time.

When I started this thread, I figured that you would either know that guy or know someone who knew him.

He was an interesting guy. I think he went to Brother Rice. There really weren't a whole lot of South side guys in the punk rock scene at the time.

He was obviously obsessed with Keith Moon. Friends of Betty used to play a cover of "When the Whip Comes Down" and Blackie would roll around like Moon on Quadrophenia. I mean, it was absolutely furious. I tried to find a version online but alas, I was unsuccessful.

I still have my copy of Friends of Betty's album, Blind Faith II with its hand-painted cover. I'm guessing Glynis did mine. She was the big Stones fan.
