The notoriously retarded Mike Tannenbaum said today that Jordan Love will reach success similar to Aaron Rodgers and that the Packers will make the playoffs. He has Love in the 12-15 best QB range. I mean, maybe the Packers struck thrice and Love became an MVP QB by sitting on the bench and observing Rodgers, but I doubt it. When the Packers needed it most, they lost to the Lions, so I just don't see how this season becomes magical.

aaron rodgers last year at Cal he completed 66% of his passes with 24TD and 8 INT

jordan love's last year at Utah State he completed 61% of his passes with 17 TD and 20 INT

justin fields' last year at Ohio State he completed 70% of his passes with 22 TD and 6 INT

That's... not good. I would expect that if he has a bad season, the narrative in the off-season will be that they need to draft a #1 so he can make the Hurts leap. I think Watson had a few flashes last year but only 600 yards when you have Rodgers throwing to you is not #1 quality.

He also missed 6 weeks with injury but don't ever let facts get in the way.

Okay, so 11 games with 600 yards still isn't great.

I too believe its possible that Jordan Love might eek out an incredibly lucky win in one NFC Championship game.

10% of Watson's yards last year came from one pass from Jordan Love.

I see our guys Love and Fields are headed with Deshean Watson somewhere in Europe for a clinic, hope love doesn't give Fields any secrets.

I read somewhere on these reliable internets that the last time Jordan Love was a starter, his last year of college, he threw 17 INT and that no one has thrown more INT than that in a season since.

The Pack front office is quietly playing for a high first round QB draft next year.

The FO sucks. Everyone except the bootlickers knows that.

I don't think the majority of the NFL agrees with you and I know they aren't bootlickers.

I don't think it's quietly.

How is this any different from the Bears?

Of course. That said, you don't think the Packers are hedging on Love?

No, I just think it is time to see if he can play or not. Only they can have a true idea, there isn't enough evidence for anyone else to make a honest opinion.

We've talked about this. Bears and GB in very similar positions. Each QB is on a one year try out. You guys just gave up way more for yours.

There's an objective factual cost for each player. Fields cost about 3x much as Love did in draft capital value.

Then there is you assigning hypothetical super bowls to teams based on hypothetical alternate picks. Yeah I guess Love costs more in that fantasyland.

The correct term is "opportunity cost" and that does have to be factored in. Still...I agree with you that the Bears gave up more for fields and going into next year....very similar 1 year try-outs.
