Burger is fun to watch.

This team is fun to watch.

They’re almost there to go on a big run. So close. Hope they do it.

The team you think is poised to go on a big run blew a 4 run lead with their “ ace” on the mound to go 10 games under .500 is what happened.

The Burger Meister Meister Burger. A burger with dusseldorf mustard, kraut and a small piece of schnitzel. Or go full on fatty and replace the bun with two pieces of schnitzel

Probably. No AL Central games. All .500 or better opponents.

7 series. My 100% inaccurate "lock" picks

They won't sweep any of them
Will get swept once (0-3)
Win 2 (4-2) NYY
Split the 4 game Angels series (2-2)
Lose other 3 (3-6) MIA, LA

Overall: 9-13

3 of the 7 series played, pretty much right on schedule....

One each of below still left on the bingo card of mediocre:
Get Swept
Win 2-1
Split 2-2
Lose 1-2

Every time there has been even a microscopic glimmer of hope, they lose.

The sick thing is our two teams play in god awful divisions. The Sox are 5.5 back and the Cubs are 3.5.

Just lots of bad baseball all around us.

The schedule makes it ridiculous. They need to get rid of divisions altogether or go back to just east and west and then have four Wild Card teams. If they wanna keep it the way it is they have to go back to playing more division games.

Agreed, scheduling more like the NFL than the NBA/NHL would be fine. It worked much better in the past than this current schedule.

The schedule just highlights how bad both of the Central divisions are. Going back to playing more division games might add a few wins to the Central champs, but they still won't be any good.

Can't see MLB eliminating divisions though, because having them keeps more fan bases interested. Sox are 5.5 behind the Twins, and we're still clinging to some hope of catching them. Sox would be 9.5 games out of a playoff spot in an East/West setup.

I think their plan is to expand to 32 once the Rays' stadium situation is sorted out, and then go to the four divisions of 8 format, and guarantee any division winner at worst a 2 seed. That would let them still keep the two NY, Chicago, and LA teams in separate divisions.

Baseball play and injury has never been worse in my lifetime. So add a couple more teams with more games. Half the league is throwers and swingers. The craftsmen are a dying breed and on top of it, they aren't appreciated. Jake Burger is a god with his 33% K rate, .290 OBP, and a negative dWAR while Lucas Giolito gets spit on for 180 innings every year and making the most out of average to below average stuff. Haugh wants to make Lopez a starter. Why? "He throws 100."

I don't know about what the stats are but I don't think over-all that the pitching is good over-all in baseball and I think that the pitch clock is to blame because Pitchers do not get to rest and collect themselves a bit before delivering. I wouldn't get ridof the clock but I would like for them to increase the time element a bit. I think this also is responsible for starters not going longer into games and getting arm fatigue.

Exhibit A....Kopech 102 pitches in 4-1/3. Hey, Michael, why don't you just flip off the bullpen before you leave the mound.

He was in trouble all night, it should’ve been a blowout Seattle win considering the amount of runners they had on. Also saw where they struck out 16 times two nights in a row.

In the hope that someone different will be calling the shots after this season, I agree with this approach.

The white Sox are 11 games under .500 and their star player is having marriage counseling on a podcast.

Lynn has a 13 ERA in innings when facing 1-4 in the order. I'm not an Opener guy, it's pathetic, but so is Lance, so use an Opener if you're going keep running him out there .

Bizarre that Lynn with a 6.51 era would stike out 16 in 7 innings.

I agree and I am surprised. He looked like he was on his way to becoming a legit closer or even a starting pitcher in a good rotation. The drop off this season is terrible and he is one of the biggest reasons for the failure of our bullpen overall. He sure has wrecked getting a good contract offer in the off season with anyone.

This ensures the White Sox will sign him.

But I agree. Between Hendrix being out and Lopez not being dependable (trying to be nice), an already weak bullpen doesn't really stand much of a chance.
