Has anyone been to one lately? I'm taking my 5 year old nephew today for skiball and recycled pizza. First time since they went bankrupt.

Not sure what this country's obsession is with giant bacteria infected rats as mascots, both chuck e cheese and Disney.

Make sure you log in as vitoscotti to post your racist rant about the place later on.

Used to take the little crumb crunchers there to burn off energy on a winter day but noticed a few creepy dudes with no kids staring at the kids the last time we went, have not been back since and that was ten years ago.

You have a Chuck E. Cheese strike zone when the kids are in preschool until maybe third grade, then they outgrow it.

It's pretty great. Buy the unlimited hour pass and then you can play with them after 30 seconds or so by also scanning their card.

Haven’t been in 10+ years. But you can drink beer there. That was a bonus.

My wife liked the pizza. I thought it was generally average frozen pizza quality.

Before they cared about children’s safety, my 5 year old was up in the ceiling in one of those tubes and I wasn’t small enough to go find him. So we had to get one those high school workers to make sure he was still there and get him down.

Good times.

If you are willing to put forth the effort you can drink beer anywhere.

My condolences to you. Did you go with frozen veggies in your lap for a couple days?

It was pretty cool back in the day in SoCal at end of little league season. That was early 90s before all the riots.

I can't recall going there with the Nas 18 unless there was a party.

my dad was working with them when they were first coming to chicago. Someone in ownership had him out to the detroit area for a day to observe operations. He told my dad to bring my brother and I. What a day! We got up early to get on the first flight to detroit. The guy picked us up in a chauffered car and we went to about 5 locations throughout the day. Each time he'd give us a bucket of tokens and order up a pizza and sodas and whatever other stuff they had on the menu. We couldn't spend the amount he gave us so we were making it rain for other kids in the restaurants. We got back on the airplane for home at the end of the day. One of the most memorable days of my young life.

We have one in the QCA, i believe there are regularly mom fights there and even one time a lady was shot but another lady.

I'll be honest, i haven't been in one since I was a kid. we've largely avoided it with our children. That place was magical back in the day though. I still remember the layout, everything. for some reason the balloon machine is etched in my memory.

I remember that, it was a few years back now though right? Or have there been more. I was stunned when I found out it was a pretty common occurrence for brawls to break out there.

I remember going to Showbiz Pizza back when I was a little kid. Not sure I've stepped inside a chuck E cheese's.. Not sure there is much of a difference either.

all those kinds of places are gone. mcdonalds used to be like a mini chucky cheese. i dont know if it was the cocaine of the 80s or what, but these days everything bland is what sells. even adult place have this problem. fancy sports bar with a ton of memorabilia on the walls? no patrons. gay hipster contemporary bar with like 3 obscure paintings on the wall with couple white led strings? packed every night.

Had our kids' birthday parties there back in the day. $40 in pizza and $200 in beer.

I just remember Davenport held their liquor license renewal over the head for a year or so before they dealt with the issues that led to so many problems. I think it was precovid. 2018-2019ish.

mcdonalds had the play ground. pizza hut always had a few arcade games.

now around here the local places have gotten rid of the kids arcade games and shove slot machines in every corner. my guess is the chuckecheese generation continued into adulthood.

Shit most bars don't even have darts anymore. It's so weird. And the owners wonder why nobody goes out. You can't smoke, you can't play pool or anything. Just sit there and spend 10x on booze that you could get at Kwik trip for? Oh and because we're fancy we're gonna put the TV's waaaayyy up on the ceiling because we want you to stare directly at the assortment of liquor bottles you'll never try.
