a lot of classic sitcoms had episodes where people got trapped in a meat locker/freezer that locked from the outside (Brady Bunch, Three's Company)

Don't forget that very special Punky Brewster where Cheri got trapped in a refrigerator.

i haven't seen Punky Brewster in forever

A variant is the ol' "trapped in the basement while everyone else is gone for a long time"- All in the Family, Family Ties

That was a great episode of All in the Family.

The vault at the Mayberry bank.

Another good one

Was that the “shoe-booty” episode?

No Shoe Booty was when Archie and Meathead get locked in the storeroom of the bar. Another classic.

Taking lessons from 1962 NASA rocket specs...gets more ridiculous every second.

I think it's ridiculous that we can't map or find anything in our oceans. The technology should exist by now. What are we hiding down there? What are we afraid of?

You know

You guys ever hear that story about (I'm assuming) some Norwegian dude who built a sub and brought along a female reporter and killed her, dumped her body and went missing in his sub for a day or so only to pop up ok and make some crazy story about the sub reading up? No? Well it's probably a stupid story anyway but this reminded me of that dude.

Oh my fucking god. Just wow. They fired the director of ops who told them this would happen. He refused to sign a statement saying he was wrong about his observations, so they fired him for that. Holy shit! This company is done for, many times over.

SOS morse code signals reportedly coming from the vessel.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eq2OH5p ... nel=GBNews

They sent two robotic submersibles down to the wreckage of the Titantic last night but both imploded due to the pressure before reaching it.

Annnd, the CEO recieved a letter from the marine engineering society begging him to submit the sub to 3rd party tests. He outright refused, stating there hasn't been a submarine injury in 35 years.

This is after his first prototype popped and cracked all over on its initial dives.

These people imploded. There's no doubt. They're gone. And this CEO's entire net worth will be handed to the families involved.

5 people in a tube a size that's only big enough for one person at a time to stretch their legs out

How fucking stupid are these guys

24 hours left. If the Morse code taps really are them , and we do actually get a uav down there to pinpoint their location, there's still no way to tow the vessel up. The only way to exit the sub is 12 bolts on the outside. In any situation, they have to bring the whole thing up.

Biden is now involved. We are about to see the absolute limits of the us military. I think it's time to get the alien technology out. We don't want to lose any more billionaires..

Sounds like the people in the submarine may be banging. I guess that is what most people would do with their last few hours of life if possible.

I would have thought with today's technology that high tech sonar could narrow it down to a square mile or so at great depths.

Considering how dumb this situation is, I think a Weird Al parody of The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is more in line...
