Anytime Spiegel has an opinion the opposite has to be taken seriously. Now 6 under .500 they'd have to be 20 over here out to get to 88 wins. There are some nice parts of Brooklyn. A friend of mine who grew up there and now lives out in the suburbs organizes a Saturday in Brooklyn every June. Strategic use of subways to get between areas. Meanwhile, many of the full-service hotels run $400/night on a summer weekend.

The outfielder Canario was the bigger piece of that trade. He would be in Chicago right now if he hadn't hurt his shoulder and ankle in winter ball. Big strong rangy RF who can play CF as well, with crazy power.

He's at least playing again which is good. Probably be in center if Alcantara wasn't in South Bend as well.I wonder if they will skip AA with the tacky ball if he does well at south Bend. Like most of the prospects the Cubs have, he strikes out too much but that is probably the old man in me when it comes to that. Thankfully not at the Owen Cassie rate at least.

First round draft pick is Matt Shaw, a MI from Maryland. Scouts seem to project ceiling as more power than Hoerner but better defense than Happ.
