I don't think its peak is equal or better than the best Bond movies, but it is uniformly good.

They're nothing special story wise, but it is cool to watch knowing Tom did all his own stunts. I also like the jack reacher movies.

Saw the premiere tonight...what a massive disappointment. Seemed like a rehash of previous MI and Bond installments (obligatory car chase through Rome, fight on top of a train, etc). Competently acted I suppose, but the writing was lame, as was the musical score. Even the periodic insertions of Schifrin's theme were uninspiring. I'll see Part Deux in a year or whenever, but this was by far the weakest MI of the lot.

I won't but let's just say Apollo 13 crew made it home. I remember the misinformative trailer, so I went in not knowing, cuz the trailer.

I saw the first Mission with cruise and liked it but none after that.

I want to see Oppenhiemer but going to the theater is a pain in the ass on a opening weekend.

Anyone seeing Barbie opening weekend?

An action movie doesn't need to be almost 3 hours long. In Europe they have intermissions I don't know if that would be worse or not. A friend in Italy said quite a few people didn't come back after the intermission during Indy 5.

I saw JFK in Italy. It's a weird experience. They had a break. Obviously, there wasn't popcorn or any of the enormous portions on drinks. The seating isn't stadium style. The movie house was kind of drab, but Rome revels in its drabby chic look.
