I think he will get 7/190 this winter unless he totally falls apart in these next 2.5 months. Offer him a 3/90 extension so his contract would be in line timewise with Hoerner and Happ, and you are deliberately overpaying in AAV for the privilege. If he declines, adios muchacho.

I won't be surprised if either Happ or Suzuki get traded this winter. Canario is back at AAA after his ankle and shoulder injury from winter ball. If they are out of the race, I think he will get a cameo in September, they will have moved on from Barnhart by then and will be back to two catchers so they will have space for another OF.
