I can’t believe that the Dodgers traded for Lance fucking Lynn. say what you want about Hahn , getting anything for Lynn is a win .

My guess is Joe Kelly was the real target.

Sox winning the trade deadline! Are they still the biggest sleeping giant in sports?

I don't know who these guys are, but it sounds like Hahn is putting together another lineup of DHs. That worked out well last time.

I parlayed that with the over (9.5) and Burger getting a hit.

huh . what book ? I use BetMGM, over was 10. I took that too but at a lesser amount. Going big on the -1.5

It looks like the Dodgers are sending down a guy with an ERA of 4.07 this year and a career ERA of 3.65 after acquiring Lynn and Kelly. I'll assume they know what they're doing.

Korey Lee is hitting ok but just ok for the PCL. But he's young and controllable so he will probably be an acceptable backup for the next couple of years until he becomes arbitration eligible.

If Sevy has options remaining, I won't be surprised if he is moved to a playoff contender to be stashed in AAA for injury depth.

I think the total body count will end up at an even 10 guys from the 26-man roster being shuffled along. We are at 5 already and that doesn't include a catcher, Bummer, Middleton, or TA.

Personally, I'd burn it all to the ground and trade Eloy and Cease as well.

I love scouting report language, "the Astros worked with Lee to quiet his load." There might be a joke in there somewhere, but I'm not clever enough to make it.

It seems there is a good and bad side of these trades, specifically the ones with the Dodgers and Astros. They have went with teams that have a good organizations and have a lot of prospects. Bad that you almost have to assume that they know things about all these prospects that made them willing to give them up for guys who have been bad this year.

They also have a bunch of young starters who are probably in innings limits while other guys like Urias are on the IL, and since you can't do the old August 31 waiver deals any more, Lynn is just insurance for somebody blowing out an elbow. Give him a couple of starts and if he's no good stick him in long relief.

The more I think about it, the less I like the Graveman trade. This Lee guy seems like a ++ arm, but not much else. I would rather have Graveman's services next year than a placeholder.

As for Zavala, he's hitting .158 and is nowhere near good enough defensively to balance that out. I'm confident that every team in MLB has someone like him in the upper levels of the minors. Now, if we can find a way to get Grandal off the roster, you have my attention.

Maybe Giolioto was the locker room problem? They seem like they’re playing loose now

It's one of the biggest indictments of Hahn that Zavala is still on their roster.

A subpar catcher and a horrible hitter.

Grandal seems to be such a problem that you blame him even in games where he isn't playing
