I do, I just hope he can do it consistently to his own receivers.

I agree. A guy like DJ Moore should make life easier for him. While Moore's not as talented, Hopkins, Hill, and Kelce made life easier for Watson and Mahomes.

The NFL Network was showing some Bryce Young training camp footage earlier tonight. He moves so much more fluidly in his dropback and in the pocket than Fields does. Frankly, that whole segment was dispiriting to me as a Bears fan.

Don't forget, I was the one who said take another quarterback. We didnt have this chance for 30 years and we bypass on doubling down on our chances. So fucking stupid.

At worst, fields can't mentally handle the competition and we trade him for a lot of stuff next year. And still be left with the best 2nd year QB there will be.

They do, but usually after being thrown late in a play over the middle.

Which means your QB's reads were slow.

The league doesn't think Fields is good. It's why Poles had to trade the pick.

Yes, there has been quite a bit of chatter that Fields has been throwing late over the middle in practice lately. Part of that apparently has been due to pressure from the defensive interior. That's going to happen, though, so he needs to recognize that throwing late over the middle often gives the secondary a great opportunity to make plays on the ball.

When you put it that way, I’m more concerned that he’s being pressured by one of the weakest units in the league knowing they can’t actually hit him.

It may be why we saw Lucas Patrick on the field. That said, they talk about the Dexter kid being a monster. Larry Allen type of strength.

Claypool was open, he's still missing reads. Unnecessary double clutch, slow with the release, a quick release gets it in that window

Sanborn, Johnson, and Jackson were within 2 steps of Claypool.

Unless thats a timing route and a planned throw where Fields makes the pass just as Claypool is making his cut, no QB in the league throws it into triple coverage. Well, maybe one who wears #10....

If Fields makes that pass and Eddie Jackson picks it, you're all over Fields for making a 'bad decision.' You know I'm right, Bob.

Will be interested to watch Dexter and Wright in the preseason games to see if they are able to play as physically at the NFL level as they did in college.

Two guys that could be something with a year or two of NFL level technique work.

as much praise as you hear about Dexter, you hear nothing about Pickens, and that is a fairly high pick that you should be able to count on contributing in year 1.

Nice speed by Scott and it's a TD if not massively underthrown by Fields

Tyler Scott could be the #2 by the time the season ends. With a passing quarterback, that kid could be dangerous.

I haven't seen any word about Terrell Smith, the other CB they took in the draft. I thought he might be pushing for playing time in camp

He's been playing with the 1's over the past couple of days because Stevenson is getting his ass handed to him. Today Eberflus said he was making a lot of plays with the 2s.

Grote has been talking about him every day on the SCORE. Says he has been splitting time with the Miami guy for reps at 1st team CB

Pickens will get plenty of chances, they have one of the least talented DT groups in the league, and the DE group is even worse.

I'm running right at this team all day until they prove they can stop it, especially the right DE spot, Gipson was a liability vs the run last year, thought they should have pulled an Uncle Dick Jauron last year and put a DT at the right DE spot so they could at least have someone that could hold the edge and not get folded up like an origami on every play.

They had the right call several times last year, but the CB or safety would either miss the tackle or guys would make a business decision and run around the play. Kinda think some of the podcasters must read stuff here because I have heard some takes that are eerily similar to stuff poster here, and why not the CHGO Chicago group are all tiny little dudes that know nothing about line play. Realize Olin is an edgy guy, but he will give you an honest take on how the lineman are playing and he is the only dude locally that gives you anything other than the cookie cutter crap you hear from all the podsters and local Kapsters and the hapless goofs on the station formerly known as "The Score".

Bryce Young will be an injury statistic throughout his short career in the NFL. He'll be a millionaire college graduate though so its not all bad.

Young is an indictment on baseball. A guy with his dimensions & talent could be an amazing baseball player. He chose football, where he’ll occasionally bump into people literally twice his weight.

He immediately makes more money and he doesn't have to work as hard. The rules are designed for him to have a 20 year career without getting CTE. IF he's great, he'll sign a deal with an annual salary higher than Ohtani's in 4 years.

Glad to hear it. He has great size at 6'1". Not elite speed but certainly not slow. I said before, Minnesota had a great D last year and it was because of their secondary. He's old, at 24, so there may not be a lot of room for growth after this year.

He's definitely more comfortable and confident than Mitch, but that doesn't necessarily translate to performance on game day.

Mitch at a press conference was flat out unlistenable.
