Yeah, come to think of it, that is true.

However, 2022 didn't have Rodon and Good (edit: Decent) Giolito, and they had a truly hapless Moncada and Kopech starting (useless after his hot start). I think 2021 was a significantly better team.

TLR was in no way the right man for the job. I think when he did call players out, he got roasted in the media. I don't think he cared, but we seem to have a double-standard there: He's too old school if he calls people out, too past his prime if he doesn't.

The only time TLR publicly called one of his own players out, it was a rookie who swung at a 3-0 pitch off a position player. He may have single handedly ruined that kid's MLB career.
