Is anybody listening to this show? How much did they beat Silvy and Carmen by? I find it odd that they get virtually no posts lately. Are they on vacation? I honestly don't know because I haven't listened to this shos...not being sarcastic...just curious

I liked it a lot during football season, but since December/January, I've been in baseball mode and they're not very good on baseball. That's why I've been listening to so much more S&C the last couple months. Good baseball talk.

The one I don't understand is why there are never any posts on here about WGN's nighttime sports show. It is probably the best of the sports talkers in its time slot.

Agreed! Maybe because there isn't that much to criticize?

This makes me feel better, I thought I was the only one who listens.

They pounded your boys C&S into the ground in the last ratings cycle. I dont know how you can love C&S so much, but hate someone who has actual knowledge in Mulligan.

Mulligan would be a good morning- long time chicago guy so he can play that angle and talk about local crap, knows his sports and is a little nutty, plus I think he would be a better host thus allowing everyone else to chime in with REAL comments.

Always was a big Memolo fan, yes, I should be listening

Can't argue with ratings...it just seems like no one on these boards gives a shit about their show because NOTHING seems to be discussed on here. As for "Mully," I can't stand his pointless yelling of random words and expecially "The Score." I just want to punch him in the face when I hear that. I will give him Bears....he does a nice job. But, you got to be somewhat well rounded...the man is physically round...no question. But when it comes to all Chicago sports, I think he sucks.

The show is good during Bears season and a tough listen the rest of the year. Mulligan knows the Bears and the NFL and he has some angles you don't hear elsewhere. Hanley was one of the "young sportswriters" back when the score started out. He can bring some Bull acumen, but who really cares about the Bulls these days? If the Bears do something of interest the start of the show will be fairly interesting. If not, you get what you are getting now.

I listen pretty much every day. IMO, the show has gotten stronger in the last couple of months (even without the Bears). I just wish they were on for a full time slot rather than 2 hours.

On the other hand, after reading a bit of praise here recently I gave C&S another try while driving home from the Quad Cities on Friday. I honestly had trouble just keeping my eyes open. I realize everyone has different tastes, but I just don't find them to be entertaining - which is all I really ask of any program.

Mulligan and a woman with a clue, (not Annie) would be a much better listen than the current show.

The only time I remember that place being tolerable was after a long night of drinking.

I'd agree to that. i don't think I have ever been in that place sober. Great place to scarf God knows what in your mouth

I'd agree it wasn't the greatest food in the world - but I was hungry and at that time of night it's pretty slim picken's. They did have an interesting item called a volcano which appeared to be a mound of mashed potatoes, stacked with french fries, covered with chili & melted cheese. Definitely aimed at the post-bar crowd.
