The Bears are 1-9 against Green Bay since Gute has been GM. I'm glad you like that.

And what is the afternoon feature today at the Non Sequitur Theatre, FF?

That's not a non sequitur amigo. You said you enjoyed Gute's work. I provided an example of the work you like.

Yes, I like that Gute has made his own team worse over the last 2+ seasons.

Not sure what that has to do with his record against the Bears, but I hope you enjoy the show.

You don't know how his record vs the Bears is relevant in an argument between a bears and packers fan about his success? That's funny.

Also they only got worse 1 year. Before last year they won 13 games 3 years in a row. When is the last time a Bears GM had 13 wins 3 years in a row?

What GM doesn't have a winning record against the Bears recently? They have had one winning record in the past 10 years and that was when our guy (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky carried us to the promised land in spite of Matt Nagy.

Just take his 53-28-1 record overall then. Gute has done better in his 5 years than any Bears GM has done in a 5 year period since the late 80's. There's simply no ammo you guys have at your disposal as Bears fans. You have to compare him to the most successful teams in the league in order to make his tenure as GM look anything but good so far.

Gute had a team in the NFC title game and his QB was league MVP. He then went and drafted a QB with his first pick and hasn't won a playoff game since.

"bUt ThE bEaRs LoL"...like that's some breaking news story

And if that QB he picked is good he and the team are set for the next decade. Just like TT drafting Rodgers when Favre was still around. You know who could have drafted Rodgers instead? The Bears. But they thought Cedric Benson was a better pick because they were set with Rex Grossman.

Prioritizing the QB position is why the Packers have had a good QB my entire life. Not prioritizing it is why the Bears have had terrible QB play my entire life. I'm glad that is continuing.

All the takes are coming:

- he’s a size queen
- he sobbed during his intro press conference
- he’s at good at selecting NFL o-linemen as he was at playing NFL o-line
- building an offense heavy team with a defense-first coach is dumb
- his defense-first HC may suck at coaching defense
- his main accomplishment to date is assembling the worst roster in the NFL
- he should’ve gotten more draft picks with 1/1
- he allowed himself to be filmed arriving at work like some weird nerd

I don't know if you all are serious. If you are serious you couldn't be more wrong. The Bears suck. Everyone knows that except the Mike Greenberg types whose very job demands he says shit like "Justin Fields will lead the Bears to the playoffs and win MVP. You heard it hear first! " Then people who don't know any better get excited because some talking head said it and it gets repeated in every dumbass bar conversation in the city.

No one who has a brain gives a shit about Week 1 Bears vs Packers . This is a game between two teams who are not winning shit anytime soon. The Bears aren't ready to vault the Packers and the Packers are just decent enough to not give a shit about doormats like the Chicago Fucking Bears.

Hey bootlicker, if they were so good why did your boy Gute decide to replace the architect of that run mid-stream? Maybe you really think metrosexual LaFleur is really the brains behind all that success.

When the McCaskeys no longer own the Bears.

Irsay is drinking again.

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Colts asked for receiver Jaylen Waddle "and more."

This is a bizarre post.

Compare the four seasons of Lefleur to the four previous seasons of McCarthy. It's not really debatable that Lefleur was a great hire.

The first half of the season, they weren't good. The last half of the season after some changes, they played much better.

Terrible run defense just like every year. With Gary healthy, they were awesome at pressuring the QB.

Weren't they like 5th or 6th from last in total sacks last year?

They finished the season 8th in pressure %, but were on track to be top 5 before Gary went down.

Ah. So they pressured the quarterback but never really took him down.

Is it positive if your Top 2 WR's aren't practicing on Wednesday of game week?

It’s beginning to feel like Watson is Eloy in shoulder pads. Missing both could really hurt the running game if the Bears choose to load the box.
