This is a unique case where the GM is so bad and squandered so much already that you really do need to fire him. Take away his ability to make midseason trades and send him and Eberflus packing on Black Monday. You can basically hire anyone to do a better job than this.

I'm sure that was under the assumption that this year would be a turnaround year. If the Bears finish with a worse record, which I would say is distinctly possible after what I saw yesterday, you cannot give that guy another very high draft pick.

The only decent player the Bears added this off-season cost them first overall to get. You can't go on like that, and there's enough bullshit like the Chase Claypool trade, Nate Davis signing, refusal to provide any insurance against Braxton Jones sucking and the decision to keep Justin Fields that you really don't have enough redemptive qualities to justify keeping him.

Because of 1 game? The Bears gave effort all last season and was in nearly every game with a shit roster. The Bears have more talent this season, but they're nowhere near as talented as the Lions, Packers, or Vikings. I don't know if he's going to be a good or great coach, but I've seen nothing to say we should start over immediately. I doubt Poles does either.

Rubbish. It was an even game in the first half despite some terrible game management and play calls in the first half. Totally new starting line-up on both sides of the ball. You might point to a questionable pre-season and not defining the starting line-up until the real season started. Its one game. I predicted a slow start to the season and there is nothing to be worried about.
