I guess the video of Moore dropping his head after running another pointless route late in the game and Claypool complaining to Getsy got Fields to acknowledge the obvious.

“I felt like I was a little bit too conservative at times during the game," Fields said on Wednesday. "Definitely with guys like DJ (Moore) and Chase (Claypool) on the outside, if we do have one on one on the outside, potentially throwing it up and seeing what happens. With them, they’re great playmakers and they can most likely come up with a 50-50 ball. Definitely want to give them more chances deep down the field.”

QB1 didn’t take many math classes at Ohio State did he?

Michael Lombardi was on W & S. Did his interesting derailing of the Fields hope train this time to a blubbering Silvy. Silvy implied Lombardi's opinion was on the lunatic fringe. Good stuff.

I'm getting sick of the dumb David Haugh and other Fields apologists talking about "unshackling" Fields and "letting" him air it out. He had opportunities to air it out, dumbass, he just didn't throw it. And that's the problem - he's not wired to make NFL throws. He needs to see people college/high school open, not NFL open.

He's the least aggressive quarterback because he doesn't trust himself

If he plays conservative that keeps open the potential that he is actually an able passer but something out of his control is stopping it from happening.

i was laughing about this at first and i guess i still am, but I'm firmly behind this wacky theory.

Fields has 146 total sacks, fumbles, and interceptions in 26 games. Over the past 3 years, that's #1 "by a mile". That's a nugget from Greenberg's show on ESPN.

If he doesn't turn it around, the national media will bury him.

I'll take that as a moral victory.

He’s been lucky he’s only lost 3 of those 23 fumbles . Sooner or later that stat is going to skew the other way and it’s going to look really really bad.

There are no more excuses. The guys breaking down the tape said he failed to throw to open guys downfield. They beefed up the receiving core. Yeah the line sucks, but Fields also holds the ball way too long.

I am done giving guys five years. If he does not figure it out halfway through this season, I go full tank and start the D2 guy.

Same. Tribisky was let go at this point and people said it was too early and it wasn't. He's not terrible but you're not winning any titles with him. Fields has about 6 games to resurrect his career at this point.

If Fields goes down with Peterman as QB2 and not Bagent there will be a mass shooting.

They lost, but even Stroud looks more like an NFL QB than Fields

Every starting QB in the NFL and several backups look more like NFL QBs than Fields does.

He's literally the worst looking QB in the league right now. He's gotta go. It's always been his fault.

Agreed. I asked earlier, which team will the Bears play where Fields is better than the opponent’s QB?

Bears vs Bears in practice where Baget enters the game to mimic Fields.

Just think that the Bears moved up from 20th to 11th take Fields and gave up a 1st and 4th rounder in 2022 on top of it.

Given their poor record of drafting a QB, the Bears can never be allowed to give up draft picks for a QB again.
