The other thing is that PCA is pissing me off because he thinks his shit doesn't stink. Stop being so damn cocky until you hit a couple of doubles, and stop TOOTBLANing.

Wow, a white hot dog. I guess the Cubs have implemented a reverse DEI policy on that. Move over, Sosa, Baez, and Morel.

he gave away velazquez for cuas, who was poor with kc. 67 hits & BBs in 41.2 IP for kc. this guy is a fireman? more like an arsonist. i can't believe the cubs had this guy on their radar. cubs have deficiencies...had to use assad as a reliever now, so looks like starting pitching for the last 5 games: taillon/stroman/hendricks/wicks/steele. radio media is telling us that the cubs were/are purposefully holding back hendricks from the braves' bats. don't like the match-up. hmmm..

i expect the cubs to make some pitching signings this off-season and may go after a C. regardless, this season is a bonus in a few ways. the experience gained. i have no doubt that lost weekend in arizona burned some hard lessons. i'm also thinking the position players are basically set, going forward into 2024, players have sealed their roles as starters/bench. i'm disappointed in the lack of progress from wesneski, killian and thompson. the fact that hottovy can't 'fix' taillon. big start for him tonight.

Even though Cubbie Nation has been quite rude this year, we are all rooting for you guys!

If they’re officially eliminated, I’ll start rooting for them.

in game 1 - marlins without arraez (ankle, i think)..going with garrett against lucchesi. game 2 sees 37 y/o johnny ceuto against mets' TBD. i'd be happy with a split, cubs need to win...somewhat dubious with taillon. braves going with a starter that has 14.1 innings in his mlb career.

nashville making pfaadt look like steve carlton. looks like 3,500 in the stands.

again with hoyer and the bullpen. hoyer goes shopping and overpays. gets a so-so cuas from kc for velasquez. the braves' anthopoulos goes shopping and gets pierce johnson from the rockies for atlanta's 14th ranked pitching prospect. johnson has 0.79 era in 22.1 innings for the braves. cuas has a 3.18 era in 22.2 innings for the cubs.

To be fair, Johnson was pitching like absolute shit until the trade deadline. But they still should have taken a shot on an older guy like that. They couldn't have gotten Robertson for Velasquez?

Dbacks win

Marlins losing early

Why am I even posting these scores? I know it’s over

johnson has much more experience in high-leverage situations..didn't have a bad save/hold to hold/save opportunity rate. he's getting the job done with atlanta. i haven't been impressed with cuas. doesn't seem to have faith with his command of breaking stuff and his fastball seems on average 92 mph, maybe up to 94 mph...a straight fastball. his delivery is also double-suicidal against lefties when throwing a fastball. we saw smyly and his ridiculous 57 foot curveballs...no chance of getting hitters to bite when he's ahead on the count on such uncompetitive pitches and gomes is all hands on deck alert for baserunners getting free bases.

it's easy to say this in hindsight, yet, it was right there for hoyer..all the info at his fingertips.

miami manager schumacher not afraid to make a forward-looking move. pulled garrett after 4 innings - will prob need to use him on sunday in pitt on 3 days rest. better to pitch 4 innings today than 6-7. mets up 4-0, two 2-run HRs by alonso and lindor. mets still tough to play. miami totally relying their bullpen in game 1 and will need an older cueto to pitch at least 6-7 innings in game 2. if things get out of hand, miami may use a position player to pitch the 7th and 8th.

- alright...vientos with another 2-run HR..mets 6-0.

I have a way of predicting Brant Brown type scenarios. I’m currently ranked 14th out of 5,000 entrants @ RV Tournament remote viewing. Download the App. & maybe you can predict the next Cubs fuck up too!!

That's probably the best way to improve your team.

Mets up 9-2 in the 8th.

So that would mean cubs up 1 game if that stands.

but with the cubs and marlins losing the Reds are right back in it

So the cubs have to win tonight.

yeah, taillon is a shipwreck wrapped inside a trainwreck. cubs got a huge break...man on 3rd with 1 out, they have problems. i knew the jammer would strike out or pop up. let's hope vines has a meltdown.

marlins up, first batter homers. 1-0 marlins.

senga mowing them down in new york...cleveland 3 outs away....cubbies getting help, up to them to take advantage. disappointing top of the 5th - vines maybe 2 body blows from a TKO, cubs hitters swinging for the fences early in the count.

brewers can't score to save their lives....everyone wants to play these guys.

reds up in the top of the 9th, looks like the shitty part of their order will bat.

lindor with his 2nd solo HR against ceuto..2-2 in new york...reds lose.
