I have never seen anything like this - these five oline guys on the field are the worst I’ve ever seen. This is ridiculous.

So 10 sacks makes Jones tied for third overall with like 20 people in sacks suffered by a QB. Most all time in a single game is 12.

Daniel jones earned his money tonight. I’ve watched hundreds of giants games in my life and I’ve never seen anything like that.

Well Andrew Thomas being out was the first domino. Their designated swing tackle Matt Peart is SO bad that he had to be benched for 2nd year guard Josh Ezuduh who is a decent guard but a HORRIBLE tackle. They’re designated backup guard Mark Glowinski was so bad that he lost his job to another late-round draft pick from last year named Marcus McKethan and he got worked so hard tonight it was unbearable. Now you have everyone playing out of position, except Schmitz (who has been pretty good but got hurt early tonight) and Evan Neal who is a HUGE bust, at least as a tackle. He is a turnstile. Maybe he can play guard somewhere someday.

THAT is how this can happen. That was something.

Brian Daboll for not being flexible?

When you have a shit offensive line, a smart play caller doesn't continue to call long developing plays.

They didn't run any slow developing plays, they couldn't. His average depth of route last night was about 5 yards. His average time in pocket before being harassed was about 1.5 seconds. Every play was a jailbreak. Daboll is stubborn but that's a ridiculous take.

If your takeaway from last nights game was poor play-calling caused that, I don't know what to tell you LOL

I'm not suggesting the offensive line wasn't responsible. It is the responsibility of the play caller to adjust his talent. Daboll failed at that job last night.

only the first 2 years are fully guaranteed however, they can escape after 2024 although there would be about a 20M cap hit since the restructured right before the season started. While the money obviously hurts, they can get out fairly quickly unlike some of the QB contracts teams are saddled with.

They can cut him after next June and spread the cap hit over 2 seasons. Humpty Daboll needs to adjust. You can win with Jones.

Yeah no big deal they are just saddled with this bum at counting 40 million against the cap for two years, nothing to see here

i agree they can win with Jones. He isn't great but he isn't horrible. They need to start blocking though. Thomas and Barkley coming back will help get things back in order.

for a QB extension, the one Jones signed is pretty team-friendly. of course it isn't ideal. none of it matters if he can't stay on his feet. I still think he is OK but for him to succeed a lot of other things have to come together, and none of it is at this time.

He was so bad that Waller would rather retire than continue to run unrequited routes.
