Dbacks go up 2-0

wtf is Roberts doing playing Kolten Wong for?

I don't think the Dbacks blow this. I think they take at least 1/2 at home.

They have a firewall with a couple of very good pitchers but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dodgers tie it up

They better score a bunch early with Lance "Long Gone" Lynn pitching on Wednesday.

costas and darling are ok. costas proclaimed that perdomo would win the NL ss gold glove and darling challenged him. much to boog's approval, darling mentioned dansby and lindor. costas not afraid to talk about kershaw's post-season problems. mary hart still watching the games. time is a thief.

drop a bit with brewers' anderson and the braves' francoeur. frenchy does the braves games - enough said.

heard some of the homers on radio - charley steiner. walked away from espn..must have had a crystal ball. the braves' guys...i think jim simpson believed that harris took a HR away from castellanos to double off harper. he does color for fans who can't watch the game and he really needs his eyes checked. the catch was nowhere near robbing castellanos of a HR. dramatic ending, he wanted to pile on fake drama.

I hate the TV viewing angle at the Rangers’ stadium.

saw this coming w/ the Orioles. they haven't been in the playoffs for a long time and with this team felt like it would be a new experience for them. plus those 2 games the rangers played really gave them an edge as they were another new team in the playoffs.

I feel like Costas has reined it in or mellowed a little. There was a period of time there where I thought he was getting paid by the number of Warren Spahn references he managed to work into a broadcast. Baseball history is great, but I don't need it referenced in every single game, even if that game is a post season game.

80s/early 90s costas was great.

then after the strike for like 3 years he was so annoying. he became holier than thou. he was so against the wild card and inter league play. he was insufferable.

then he stepped back and was good again.

but then he regressed a few years ago with what you mentioned w/ the 100 year old baseball references.

now he's ok again but he can get annoying . he needs another partner to reign him in or he's goes off the deep end.

you're right, he's mellowed...but, he's still opinionated. i have no problem with that. he's been doing free-lance PBP in recent times, did some for mlb network, now, tbs. he may have done the sandberg game, but i remember curt gowdy and keith jackson, scully and garagiola, tony kubek, al michaels, even dick enberg, as playoff and world series baseball voices, jack buck on radio. i think costas is stronger in the studio.

really never found his strong suit. tried with his talk show. he's sharp, he was too sharp for his own good, doing pbp.

Harper actually got a lot of praise the next day for his hard-nosed style on this bonehead play.

I understand the thought process, that it was the 9th and a semi-desperate situation. His instinct won over his baseball sensibility. He gave up an out. The last out.

Looking at the replay, I thought it was the right decision. If he holds up and the ball lands, he has a very tight play at the plate. Stopping at 3rd is just not an option there given the magnitude of the situation. Harris catching the ball was a lower probability than Harper getting thrown out at home.

Why is 2nd and 3rd with one out not an option?

Lance Lynn melting down in the 3rd.

3 solo HR's

3-0 Dbacks.

---

and AS I hit submit, ARZ hits a HR that was called a HR but after view it was not a hr but barely foul.

Next Pitch - HR LOL.

4-0

his first 3/4 starts as a dodger they had the L.A. fans amazed. They were saying this guy is great, how stupid were the white sox to trade him.

then he came back down to earth.
