Yeah, I caught that podcast of Bernstein and Larry making fun of Bagent. You know why they're doing that though right? Both of them were all in on fields and now they have egg on their face.

I don't get why anyone would be against seeing what the kid can do. What's the worst that can happen? He sucks like Fields and then we draft someone this off season.

Fuck Bernstein

Here's the thing about Bagnet, even if he's pretty decent for a few games, you still draft Caleb Williams if you have the first pick. Bagnet playing well just means you'll have a good back up. Maybe a guy you could trade later for a 4th round pick or something. Although, since he was an undrafted free agent maybe he's only ours for one year.

How does that work for those guys? Did he sign a 3 or 4 year contract? Probably not I'm guessing.

But I think that arm is average at best. Which does matter. Means he can never make the elite throws.

I finally watched his press conference from this morning. If anything, he seems like a confident kid. He's not going to pee his pants.

He can be as confident as he want, but that ain't gonna help him when Borom is yelling, "look out", after whiffing on a block.

Do see the mysterious "Q" next to Crosby and Jimmy G on the Raiders depth chart, but Nas is looking forward to the Hoyer vs Bagent tilt.

Mrs. Claw, who is a huge Jimmy G fan for purely non-football reasons will be disappointed if he does not play.

"Tyson Bagent signed a 3 year, $2,720,000 contract with the Chicago Bears, including a $25,000 signing bonus, $25,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $906,667."

If he's serviceable, they have a cheap backup for 2 more years. If not, there's basically no guaranteed money and they cut him.

Interesting short video about Bagent's dad who is some kind of arm wrestling world champion....

I used to live 15 minutes away from Bagent's college campus back in around 2000 or so.

I'm pretty sure its kind of like baseball where they have a right of first refusal. If they won't pay him some cba agreed upon amount, he becomes a free agent. I think the number increases depepending on playing time.

After watching that video, I hope the FBI is combing the Bagent residence looking for missing bodies.

There is something about this kid. He obviously has an "it" factor that makes people gravitate to him. He also seems to understand how to play his position. I still have no idea if he's any good, though it seems like he's probably better than Fields is right now.

too much dad, but when everyone loves to hear a goof for a little while

I'll trust Mc Shay saying he has an NFL arm. He fell where Mc Shay predicted as well.

Arm strength was listed because it was a feature on his dad who has very strong arms.

Football people are very literal.

His dad is a WWE character, but Tyson seems to have won a lot of people over. Of course, two of his biggest supporters are Poles and Eberflus, who may be two of the most unreliable football minds in the NFL.

I completely agree. You can't coach that. We'll have some idea after Sunday if he can play.

here is the nfl draft analysis

https://www.nfl.com/prospects/tyson-bagent/32004241-4756-5656-dc05-96cbcc86cf60

Good speed. He's going to make mistakes towards the aggressive side. I may yell about it but I like it for a guy like him who is getting his one shot. Athleticism score was top end, which is undoubtedly why Poles signed him. McShay said nfl arm. It only looked like an nfl average arm to me, at best.

like I said, he seems like Heineke or Fitzmagic. He won't protect the ball. He'll probably throw 2 td and 2 int

He spent the summer addressing some of these issues...

Stares down targets, leading center field safeties to the throw.
Footwork and ball placement fall apart when he starts rushing throws.
Inconsistent decision-making when faced with blitzing fronts.
Faced lower level of competition.

I saw him stare down Tyler Scott and Moore. It wasn't an issue. Every quarterback does it.

I don't believe it if someone tells me Dan and Sir saw the espn piece and prejudge the kid based on the father. It's manifesting as "Bears fans liking him are racist", but it actually is their prejudice about him. He checks all their boxes for pre hating

Stare down DJ Moore all day as far as I'm concerned.

I know some of it is solely for content creation, but it's cheap and elitist to insinuate that Bagent comes from a racist family.
