Dan and Laurence believe that the Bears coaching staff (and maybe Poles) - all extremely incompetent and probably on the verge of being fired - were able to convince Collinsworth that Bagent was the next Purdy and that they were more excited to coach him than Justin Fields????

Literally within the same segment, both Dan and Laurence also proclaimed that Bagent is on the same level as Krenzel who was out of the league and was awful.

Isn't it more likely that NBC/Collinsworth just took the Bagent story a bit too far and sounded stupid in some of the comments made?

I do try to listen, but it's more for the seriousness of which they take themselves. I find it comical as to whom will have more ridiculous things to say, in a serious tone, that day.

Dan was just telling Jarrett Payton that he was doing his best to make sure people were not "blinded" by Tyson Bagent's performance, and Payton thanked him like a pet. Then Payton went on to say that Justin Fields has not been given a fair shake by this team.
