I hear they didn’t even do French accents.

Honestly, fucking up a biopic should be punishable by banishment.

So strange. The ad claimed it was the director's best since Gladiator. I guess you guys were NOT entertained.

Ridley Scott should be ashamed to have his name associated one with that movie. It might be the worst movie I’ve ever seen Mike.

Ridley Scott is older than Joe Biden. He's just gonna keep doin' shit until he croaks, just like Biden.

Well speaking of crappy movie, there was nearly 30 minutes of previews and not a single preview showed a movie that interested me.

As someone who recently listened to Mike Duncan's very detailed podcast on the French Revolution and its various 19th Century successor revolutions along with his book on the Hero of Two World's, I could not have hated this movie more.

It focused way too much time on his efforts to produce an heir. It moved through time in huge blocks and did nothing for character development outside of Napoleon and Josephine.

You're not interested in that new Nicholas Cage movie where he becomes famous because everyone dreams about him?

I read a review of Napoleon from Gonads who gave it zero stars because he thought the movie was called Nipoleon and then got upset when Joakim Penix didn’t have his tits out for 3 hours.

It was a strange focus for a movie, with little to do about his public victories and much about the court intrigue part of his life. It's like becoming emperor was just a side note.

It also made him look clownish. I don't feel like it was an even handed depiction and I don't feel like I know anything more about the guy from having watched it.

I bet they gave a good review to John Hamm's character in the new Fargo

That is too bad. I was looking forward to seeing it. You must be trying very hard to make a boring movie about Napoleon.

From what I hear they simply chose to make a movie about the boring parts of Napoleon. Was he indigenous to France?
