He will be a top 5 paid QB next year when he signs his new deal.

FavreFan will declare it the steal of the century

Will he take less to stay with the Packers for a decade?

Well, I'm not the one making posts like Zippy did without context.

But no, he won't be a top 5 NFL QB next year. He's going to be a league average starter. At best, he'll be like a Kirk Cousins that puts up decent numbers but his teams always seem to be average.

What do you see that makes you feel that way because nationally I don’t know that the professional writers agree with you?

Maybe they can pay him in Packers stock?

'Tis the season for Packers fans to buy this valuable stock for their loved ones.

I can't answer that without knowing what you mean about the professional writers. How good do they think he is?

Most of them are making excuses on how bad everything else is with the Packers to prop up Love when only his total td numbers even get close to good and a lot of that is because other quarterbacks got injured and he has played every game.

It's your point. I'm not going to make it for you.

Tell me what all these writers are saying about Jordan Love as an elite quarterback. He's put up decent numbers on an average team.

Brick, I want to know what you see with Love, also what did you think his numbers would be going into the season. You can google what writers are saying, I am not going to do the work for you.

I believe I expected him to be average. At least I know that is what I was rooting for.

His total touchdown numbers are good. That's it. Everything else is pretty average and even his touchdown numbers look a lot better because of QB injuries and the fact that some teams have quarterbacks who can't throw.

Wow, you are a tough grader. 1st year starter, looks like he will throw for 4000 yards and 30 touchdowns, that isn’t bad at all and exceeded my expectations. I believe I read that no Bears quarterback in History had done that, amazing.

Again, I am not doing something for you that is so easily attainable.

Almost every respected NFL analyst disagrees with Rick on this.

Even the vocal anti Love ones have admitted they were wrong. That's not a strong suit for Rick though.

He's 13th in the league in total yards. His TD number is 5th though which is obviously very good. It

Don't be so sensitive. I think Love will end up an average starting quarterback. Either tell me I'm wrong and that he'll be getting MVP votes next year or move on.

I guess being as good as Baker Mayfield and Jared Goff is what Packers fans desire today. Sad

Despite our suckage since having the first franchise quarterback in NFL history, we still have the ability to recognize mediocre and bad quarterbacks. You've had so much success at the quarterback position over the past 30 years that you assume all quarterbacks wearing a Packers jersey must be great.

Well he's having one of the most efficient seasons of all time. I think if you look at the context of his team, it helps explain a lot. But that's one stat outside of TD's he's good in. 4th in Passing DVOA too, pretty damn good! But yeah its just touchdowns hes good at.

How about this? After the season, or even before next season, you set the over/under on Love touchdowns/yards/interceptions/(whatever else you want) per game with a minimum of 9 games played and I can either take the over/under on any of them for wagers?

I think he'll be pretty average next year so I assume I'll be taking a lot of the unders given your high hopes for him.

You're barely old enough to remember life without a HoF quarterback. Most Packers fans aren't. You can't deny that doesn't play a role in the way Love is viewed.

I enjoy trolling Packers fans, but I've been objective about Love. I was concerned after the Eagles game last year that you may have gotten another great quarterback, but you didn't. He doesn't suck, but he's a win with quarterback. You're going to have to pay him next year because their isn't an alternative. Life isn't great after giving a win with quarterback a lot of money.

That's the funny thing about how upset they are getting. He's just average. He's probably a little worse than Kirk Cousins. The Bears can handle that if they ever actually get good.

4th in passing DVOA is average in a 32 team league. That strong Boilermaker education right there.

DVOA is a nerd stat, used to put lipstick on the pig of your 7-8 Franchise* QB. It's right up there with Rashan Gary fake sacks.

Tied for 6th in EPA/play too. Sure doesn't sound like average in a 32 team league to me.

He's 9th in DVOA there though and really not that much ahead of the 4 players behind him either.
