Firecakes vanilla glazed is amazing.

I think that's the place we'd go to when I worked at the Merchandise Mart. There'd be a line around the block at that place on the way into work from the train every morning tho when it first opened .

Or whatever donut place it was if it wasn't Firecakes, I think it must've been tho that's about when we got the pour over coffee spot at the bottom of the brown line stairs too. Eventually figured out the new coffee spot was a back-door/life-hack to get donuts and other baked goods from Firecakes or whatever artisan donut spot a block or so over without having to stand in the donut shop line.

Firecakes was one of the donut shops during a mini craze where they treated it like it was a privilege for you to be able to buy one of their donuts. And, of course, the assholes would line up.

They do make a good donut.

must've been damn good donuts, line round the block every AM. I never managed to get any donuts from them. Whatever place I went to had cupcakes, iirc. They did seem kinda put out that I was there later in the day asking about donuts, come to think of it.

But the baked goods the pour over coffee spot sold from whatever place it was were fire, might've even been called "Artisan Coffee"

Anything good around the Moody Bible Institute area?

If you are ever in the QCA hit up Donut Delight for some of the best Raised donuts on the planet and hit up donutsnmore for the best cake donuts you have ever had.

Bridgeport Bakery on Archer used to be the best till they got new owners. Added benefit they did a decent Kuglea

New owners still use the original recipes. Not 100% the same, but 85% of the original coffee cakes are still better than 99% of anywhere else.

just saw yesterday that they opened one in Fulton Market. Place is very famous in Portland. Would definitely give it a try if I was in the area.
