This offseason, Poles will either position himself to become the mayor of Chicago and eat for free for decades, or he'll be fired in 2026.

You can sit at #9 and get Odunze, Brian Thomas Jr., or Keon Coleman, any of these guys would be a huge upgrade over Mooney.

I like Adonai Mitchell too.

how sad is this:

the Bears are set to hire their 13th offensive coordinator in 26 seasons. Only two offensive coordinators have lasted more than two seasons in Chicago — Ron Turner (2005-09) nad John Shoop (2001-03).

They'll get a second. His "combines" are through the roof and somebody out there is convinced they can fix him.

Hell, I can fix Dylan Cease with one conversation and video.

Yeah, but I’d like to see OC numbers for other teams as well, as OCs/DCs don’t stick around in the same position with the same team for long in general. The good ones usually move onward and upward, and the bad ones get fired and take a lesser position somewhere else.

Few GMs get fired for taking the top QB with first pick. You get yourself in trouble when you overthink it.

Outside of Steve Young, find me a similar case study in terms of an NFL Quarterback

I believe in bad QBs more than I believe in bad OCs.

Taking a quick look at GB it looks like 7 in that time period.

I wonder many Bears OC were the " hot guy" and went on to bigger and better things?

Unless that quarterback is a Russell or a Leaf.

I would take Maye, but I'll live with whatever Poles does. I just don't want Warren to influence any decision.

I'd like to see them trade up from 9 to 4.

Get Arizona out of the way, set it up for QB, QB, QB, Harrison. If you decide to keep Fields you can trade out of 1 to a team like Denver and get 12, 81 plus a 2025 and 2026 1st. If you decide to take a QB, you can trade Fields to a team like ATL and get back some of what you traded to move from 9 to 4.

Gase and Tice. Crowton went to HC BYU. Most of the rest fall into the latter of my statement.

Gase went from the Bears job to HC @ Miami
After Tice left the Bears it looks like he was never more than an offensive line coach
It looks like Crowton's only NFL job was with the Bears, after he left BYU it was all CFL or NCAA and most recently HS

Parkins just said the Bears are having a press conf at 3 but they won’t be carrying it as “we don’t pay for press conferences.” WTF, is that a new policy from the Bears or WSCR?

they said " their phones were blowing up " with people contacting them, sounds like great people can't wait to come and work for the Bears

I’m getting like half a question every few minutes. Last audio I heard was some idiot that sounded like Mully asking Poles to assess CJ Stroud’s season.

Patrick Finley basically just said to Poles: "You fucked up the Stroud evaluation. Why should fans trust you to find a quarterback better than Fields?"

Poles sounds like he's eager to replace Fields.

Eberflus has no idea if he's going to be the defensive coordinator next year.

Definitely agree on Poles.

Flus is a bumbling idiot  He constantly looks like a deer in headlights "that is a good question"

Poles isn't totally sold on Braxton Jones. Welcomes idea of increasing competition at his position.

Sounds like Mooney is gone.

He’s now praising Flus’ ability to find & hire coaches and bring the right type of people into the building. So disregard anything he said earlier or at any point in the future.

Poles loves Dexter.

Doesn't sound like he has much interest in trading the top pick, but he says he is "willing to listen" if someone has an idea.
