He had an OC job and produced results comparable to Getsy’s offense.

That's a keep Fields hire. Klint Kubiak feels like a potential home run hire if you are going young.

From his work with Russell Wilson last year?

From his DNA and his work with Shanahan. Bill Walsh couldn't fix Wilson.

That’s how I felt after Parkins was singing his praises, but apparently the feeling in Seattle is “please take him!” (at least in social media).

And he already has both a street and a Soldier Field parking deck named after him.

It could just as easily be a Caleb Williams hire since they are stylistically similar, although Williams is apparently much more proficient from the pocket.

Poles has been setting everything up for the past year+ to draft a QB in 2024.

There's no reason to think he is veering from that plan based on Fields' lackluster 2023 play.

There's no reason to think that Williams hasn't been his guy all along.

And there's no reason to think that Williams won't be a Bear following the draft.

I don't disagree with anything you posted. I still hope it'll be Maye. I'll buy my Williams jersey if it isn't.

Don't overcomplicate it. Figure out who you think is #1 whether it is Williams or Maye. Then draft the other one because you know the one the Bears thinks is good is not good.

A trade down to 2 is a possibility. How much is Washington willing to pay?

This sums up Kevin Warren perfectly.

He has a whole wall of his own press clippings and other awards and he chose to deliver a very unpopular decision in front of it.

from Jim O'Donnell, it fits perfectly with that picture :

His Wednesday filibuster following the Poles-Eberflus presser was a 3 a.m. night-ender at a bad comedy club. … Even TV partner WFLD-Channel 32 pulled the plug on it. … His repeated references to his association with Dick Vermeil and the 2000 Super Bowl champ Rams are a desperate cry for validity. … Three years later, he was out of the NFL and back in private law practice. … Do the McCaskeys fully understand what they do and do not have in the man?

The Athletic's first mock draft has the Bears trading down with Atlanta in exchange for #8, #43, a future 1, and a future 2.

I don't know, if I'm trading with Atlanta I want #8, next year's 1, and Bijan Robinson.

I don't even count the #8 coming to Chicago as a first. That's just swapping the 1 for the 8. So when I want to know how many first round picks you're sending back to me, I start counting after #8.

I was always under the impression Stein was one of the few guys actually good at his job. Bears were always in pretty good cap shape.

Isn't that cute. Williams wants a "guarantee" to not be drafted by the Bears.Fuck him!

Pulled up the ole draft simulator for the first time. Traded down from 9 to 11 and picked up a 2nd.

This would be a great draft

42. Sedric Van Pran C Georgia

75. Bralen Trice Edge Wash

106. Cade Stover TE Ohio St

124. Hudson Clark S Arkansas

137. Layden Robinson G Texas A&M
