Aside from his talent issues you have to sign him right away without having ever seen him on the field for his new team.

Based on all available information, that seems like a major stretch. Most projections have the Bears getting a 2nd and 4th for Fields.

all over the place....the GM that gives the Bears a 2nd round pick for Fields is gonna look like the Panthers trading for the Bears #1 overall pick...BAD.

in the right offense and coaching situation, i think fields can succeed. but he is never going to be able to stand in the pocket and make elite throws like matt stafford did sunday. apparently he's never going to stand in the pocket and throw to a WR that is less than a yard open. but i do think some OC's hubris is going to get a team to give a decent draft pick or player for fields thinking they can work with him

With all of the focus on Fields vs Williams lately, an item which was discussed a bit this morning was Jaylon Johnson stating that he wants to be the highest cb in the league. He was obviously great this year, but how much is he worth Bears fans? Does trading Fields eliminate the concerns over his deal considering how much cash they'd have available?

Cut Eddie Jackson and give that money to JJ. Seems pretty simple to me.

The Bears have $49M in space in 2024 and like $125M in 2025. You only cut Eddie to keep JJ if you have trouble staying under the cap. Eddie may keep you above the floor.

transition tag him and let him see what the market will Bear so he is comfortable that his true value was established. Then, match because he wants to be here. Someone will draw up one of those poison pill contracts to screw the bears over but not many have more money to outgun them

What??

Eddie Jackson plays football and doesn't want to tackle anyone.

Eddie Jackson is awful at football. If you need to spend money, go get Christian Wilkins the 28 year old 3 technique from the Dolphins.

Then get rid of Jackson because he is awful not to sign JJ. Different discussion.

totally agree!
If he goes back to Ohio State, I think you'll see significant improvement in his stats across the board.

Until he's trying to throw 45 times a game in December at Soldier Field.

That was Wannys criticism of it today on Parkins and Meat. But they looked up the stats and all 3 years he was with the Cardinals they were top 10 in rushing yards in the league.

In Kimgburys 3 seasons on Arizona, they finished top 10 in rushing in each year. Stop commenting on football matters

Thanks for the update RF.

I thought his teams collapsed in December because of his play calling.

The Cardinals’ collapsing was normally scheduled around whenever Call of Duty released an update.

Murray's game of choice?

It's still a pass first offense which makes success in the cold questionable.

Because they are a run first offense.

It's a passing league, everybody should be pass first.

Well now that could be. But the criticism I have read and heard today was that his teams never run the ball. But that does not appear to be true.

Clearly the guy would have to be smart enough to design an offense around his team and a part of that would be where they play games.

I'll be shocked if they hire Kingsbury.

The Shanahan's currently rule the day and I think they will stick with a branch from that tree.

Van Pelt will get the job, his offense was pretty damn good..even with Flacco.

They play in Arizona where they should be top 10 in passing. Beyond that, the Bears are already top 5 in rushing.
