Dependent exemptions were eliminated in favor of higher standard deduction amounts a few years ago. Eliminated the need to jump on expectant moms belly on Dec 31.

I don’t think that’s correct. True for most charitable deductions though.

It’s definitely not true but I don’t want to turn a joke into a tax discussion.

Great news. If you are one post wouldn't your third kid be four post?

I'm old but I would enjoy going through early fatherhood again

Once my kids got older I was pretty happy not to have to deal with "little kid" stuff anymore but lately I have been imagining how cool it would be to be a grandfather and have a little baby in the family again. Maybe in a few more years.

Don't let my wife see this. We have wonderful adult sons and a great life but she has been yearning for grandchildren. I try to warn her about being careful about what you wish for, especially because neither one of them are married.

BTW I had to look up your avatar. I had never heard of the guy. Interesting career, in that he played for many of the Giants' rivals too along with how he became a Giant. Maybe worthy of a mention in the RIP section?

My kids aren't even that old and I already find that I miss the days when they were too young not to need me for everything.

Being a grandfather, hopefully number 5 will come this year, has been a real rest and life saver for me. I think for some of you older guys it will fill this later year for fathering.

Norm Snead is before my time, but he is another in a long line of Giants journeymen QB's whose Giants career my father had to suffer through, though I was surprised to learn he was a Pro Bowl QB for them in '73. I think he hung around long enough to be with the team during their inaugural season in the original Giants Stadium in East Rutherford.

Congrats One Post.

Yeah, I think you are right, this newborn is correctly four post.

Was too exhausted to commit to the bit last night.

It absolutely is true, the TCJA eliminates dependency exemptions from 2018 through 2025.

Tax credits amigo. Your beautiful bundle of joy will net you a $2k credit on your ‘24 returns (unless the Post family is grossing about $500k, in which case, double congrats).

While I am quite familiar with the Bloody Mary & beer back, I have never seen a Mountain Dew double-back?

Denni$ needs the sugar and caffeine to keep up with his young broads.

One Post wrote:
Yesterday Mrs. Post walked into the home office where I was working and asked me to come upstairs to talk about something. I could tell it wasn’t run of the mill stuff, but figured our oldest son Two Post (8) said or asked something that was a difficult proposition. When I went upstairs Mrs. Post showed me a pregnancy test.

I have always wanted a third child, Mrs. Post wanted just the two we had (Three Post is 6). She pulls a bit more weight in that decision so I accepted we would have two great kids. I have a blessed, wonderful and fulfilling life in every way, family foremost. I never would have had serious regrets about having only two kids, but would have always though a third would have been icing on the cake. Since shortly after the birth of Three Post we have used, more or less, impenetrable birth control so it never crossed my mind we would have a third kid because Mrs. Post has always made her feelings known when I have broached the subject.

We have a long way to go and at this point the outcome is more likely to end in disappointment due to age and some other issues, but yesterday was and probably forever will be the happiest day of my life. We obviously can’t tell anyone IRL anytime soon, but I had to tell someone.

At 11:06 AM today Three Post entered the world. By all indications she is completely healthy. The other two Post children are excited to have a little sister and already got to hold her in the hospital. Mrs. Post did great and is resting well.

Dad Post is probably the happiest human on the planet today.

Congrats!
