…and more importantly, an opportunity to reflect on the 10th anniversary of the time Bill DeBlasio killed New York’s groundhog in front of a crowd and the government covered it up.

Rest in power, Staten Island Chuck.

I sometimes question why we rely on the proclamations of a rodent to guide our spring weather planning but unlike religion at least we know that Phil is real.

on the first day as president i will ban all holidays, and mandate 4 weeks PTO minumum for alll businesses. any business that cant afford it will be compensated through energy credits using immigrants to fuel our power plants.

I'm not sure why people listen to that fuck Skilling, either.

I am in Chicagoland for a family wedding this weekend and the news made me laugh. They were covering a cheap copy of Puxatawney Phil named Woodstock Willy or some shit.

The secret is that in Chicago, it's not really a groundhog, and its not really coming out of the ground...it's just the gerbil up Skilling's ass poking its head out.

WGN had that this morning because Skilling was the "celebrity" guest. They did mention that the groundhog (real one, not woodstock knockoff), is running about 39% accurate. This "holiday" seems like some cutesy superstition that should have died 50 years ago.

Maybe the groundhog is 61% accurate and we’ve mixed up the tells.

it's sad this holiday gained traction at all , meanwhile cinco de mayo is still a joke when in reality its the most accurate description of what a holiday should be.

Do groundhogs think the sun will consume the Earth every spring? Should someone let them know it won't happen for a billion years?

The holiday was started by retards in Ireland. It's worse than scientology. The only reason this holiday still exists at all is because of bill Murray (resident bitch)
