She’s hoping it’s like an uncontested divorce

It would make sense, she had the interim title for awhile, during which time there were routinely articles, headlines, and social media posts made by Deadspin accounts with errors, sometimes MANY of them.

The funny part is this move is a subtle nod to the kind of virtue-signaling-but-totally-selfish-twat she really is: Eric Barrow left the EiC job in late 2022, and July was sometime later named the interim-EiC, then later "resigned" when the outlet re-hired Jim Rich for the position. Thing is, July and Rich are white, and Barrow appears to be, by my google searching, a racial minority, so Julie would be suing Deadspin for violating her civil rights because she wasn't the white person hired when the outlet fired a minority from a position she coveted.

She resigned from the EIC position, saying “editorial decisions should not be made based on traffic goals and pageviews.” Seems like it would be hard to sue under those circumstances, but she is a Grade A grifter. Surprised they haven’t fired her ass.
