Nagy's tenure was the end of the line for me with the "Bears Media", they embarrassed themselves by covering up for George, Nagy, and Pace, after all the "smart fans station" loved all of these guys, really exposed the station and the "Bears Media" as frauds and they still are to this day.

Not sure why Nagy would ever want to draft a running back, he rarely ran the ball and Pace never valued offensive or defensive lineman, they were blithering idiots when it came to roster construction, the franchise was exiled to the bottom of the NFL for several years due to having the worst front office in the NFL.

Yeah, the media blew Nagy until he decided not to play Fields over Red Rifle. It was actually the best decision Nagy made. The kid needed a redshirt year.

If half of what Lucas says is true it's a pretty damning indictment of Fields, paints a picture of a guy that thought he knew it all and thought he was above listening to the vets, of course we have learned that Nagy was a grab ass guy that was not head coaching material.

Always found it silly when the "Cubs Media" used to tell you that, "nobody works harder on improving his defense than Alfonso Soriano", but then you would see evidence on gameday that he didn't really care about defense, you get the same thing from the "Bears Media" when they talk say, "nobody cares more about winning than Justin Fields", and then you see him mope around and provide zero leadership on the sidelines.

It does explain why Fields never seems to get better at reading defenses, Bears just need to find a Ryan Pace type dude that thinks he can fix Fields and is willing to overpay.

His perceived trade value is all over, seeing trade scenarios where all you get is a third rounder to a few where you get a late first round pick, a significant portion of the league does not think much of Fields, and it is likely due to the behind-the-scenes stuff Lucas brings up in the podcast.

If that stuff happened it happened over three years ago with players who are long gone. Plus the entire lockerroom likes him now, so I think the Dalton Foles stuff is irrelevant. it appears he's grown. So I doubt people are down on Fields because of lockerroom stuff. They are down on him because he's a bad quarterback.

Fields thought it was too much to try to beat out the great Jake Fromm, so he transferred. He also complained about not being made a leader his rookie season. Compare to someone like C-Will who went to a school that had a leading Heisman candidate and took his job, even though C-Will hadn't played football in nearly 2 years. Some guys like a challenge and others like to have things given to them.

The "lockerroom stuff" is supposedly him not listening to vets, points more to him not having the intellectual capacity to understand that he might actually be able to learn something about his profession from guys that had done it for a while.

We often talk about how new staff members that do not ask questions scare us because they are overly confident for no reason because they haven't done anything yet and end up being poor clinicians. That exact concept applied to nearly every profession.

He continues to have incredible athletic abilities, but those wane over time and most smart QB's realize it is safer to throw the ball to the TE or Back and pick up 5 yards on first down than try to outrun grown ass NFL DE's and circle around in the pocket, Fields has not realized this yet and takes tons of sacks resulting in tons of turnovers, not sure it is likely he will ever change given the fact that he does not seem to be able to process feedback or coaching.

for the bears to extract max value for fields they likely will need to trade him before FA starts (March 13). The suspense likely wont linger past that point.

That seems to be Aaron Jones' future career path: female RB coordinator.

Fans that have YouTube channels are losing their shit lol.. it’s been funny to watch the ‘he is H1M’ crowd perform mental gymnastics 4 times a day in videos telling everyone else they’re crazy for thinking the Bears would even consider moving on from Fields.

On the flip side, I haven’t seen one channel dedicated to flipping out over the fact that they think fans are crazy for not believing Williams is the guy. The Fields Stans are really a different breed. I’m getting to a point where I want the Bears to trade him just so I can watch the meltdown that will inevitably follow.

There’s people threatening to burn their jerseys and became Packers fans and all kinds of other nonsense lol.. I can’t lie, some of this is kind of awesome. I’ve never seen such devotion surrounding such a mediocre player.. imagine if Mitch was that supported..?

I'm the same way basically. If there was no cult it's possible I could be fine with giving Fields a ten year contract. But because of this vocal dumbass cult I want Fields deported to the moon if it means the cult follows him or just disappears.

Seeing a lot of mocks with the Bears taking Williams at #1 and Odunze at #9, gets you two potential play makers on offense, would be OK if they went in that direction.

Have seen a few places where they have Fields and a 4th rounder going to the Steelers for the 20th pick, and then have them picking Powers-Johnson, would make that trade, it does seem there will be a team that will lose out on a QB and would be interested in Fields, just not sure if you get a first round pick.

The real wild card is Washington, Williams is from DC and the new owner supposedly want him to build around, if they want to significantly overpay and give you #2, #36, and #40 this year and a 2025 first rounder, you could roll the dice like you did with Carolina and hope the 2025 pick is top 5.

If Fields does go to Atlanta, I would hope that in addition to whatever else they get for him that they flip picks with Atlanta and move from 9 to 8.

If they get silly returns from Washington that they can't possibly refuse, I'd like them to then use some of that return and the 8 and convince New England to trade the 3 pick, so that the Bears end up with Maye or Daniels and Harrison.

Hard to tell if the Atlanta and Pittsburg rumors are true, or if it is just Poles and/or agents trying to create interest, do see a lot of stuff that has Fields only meriting a 3rd round pick, that seems a bit low considering guys like Darnold went for multiple picks.

Im laughing at the Fileds to the Steelers rumors . Is he appreciably better than Pickett ? That Fields is worth their first round pick and then oooh boy watch us take off !!! ?? They must be watching Ohio St film .

The Steelers think so much of Kenny Pickett he was a healthy scratch for their playoff game.

Pickett has basically been the same as (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky in Pittsburgh.

I don’t know how you can make it termination. I don’t think it’s fair to judge quarterbacks unless they have elite playmakers at every skill position , an innovative playcaller and an offensive line that doesn’t allow any pressure. in this particular case there’s no way Fields is worth giving up your first round pick for ( and I’m guessing doesn’t happen regardless) Pickett is 14 and 10 as a starter on a bad team and has had the moxie to win several games late they wouldn’t be winning with Fields as their quarterback.

There's nothing Pickett does better than Fields. The Steelers are lying.

(Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has been terrible in Pittsburgh. Pickett has pretty much the same stats.

Yep, Fields had better QBRs in both 2022 and 2023 than Pickett; Pickett regressed this year. Anytime you have a worse QBR than Fields it's generally not a good thing.

The more Pickens played, the worse he got too.

If you can get the Steelers to give you #20 for Fields and a 4th you take that deal all day, you might get Atlanta to give you a 2nd rounder, you take your starting center for the next 10 years with the pick you get in return.

You would have three rookie starters on offense, not an ideal situation, but Williams could be a franchise QB, Odunze is an upgrade over Mooney, and a 1st/2nd round center would instantly be better than Patrick or Whitehair.

The question is where does your FA paper go, will need a FS, TE, WR, OL depth, and another pass rusher, franchising Johnson supposedly will cost $18 million, maybe one big splash and a bunch of cheaper vets to fill slots.

I don't think the Bears are getting a #1 for Fields. I'm not even sure they will get a 2nd. I would love to be wrong.
