We know his value is not viewed as at least a mediocre starter or he would be gone already.

Ok so what does he get traded for then? Because after all, YOU KNOW HIS VALUE correct?

As one former NFL executive with 3 or 4 SB rings as an executive said , the best thing to happen for Fields would be to end up as a backup on the Eagles, put a lot of time and effort into learning the system and maybe someday he will be an ok QB, never a great one.

I don't know what an NFL team is willing to give for him but so far it's not the value of a decent starting QB.

As for Fields real NFL trade value, I as always will rely on the Chicago Public School Employee's(*) opinion for the most expert analysis

When you back Patrick Williams, you're not allowed to say things like this.

As for talent, it's only a part of the equation. This is the biggest flaw of your scouting outlook in all sports.

Fields has better arm talent than Gardner Minshew
Fields has better running talent than Gardner Minshew
Gardner Minshew has better quarterbacking skills than Fields

Conclusion: Gardner Minshew is a better quarterback. The best place for Fields talents is an Olympic javelin throwing contest, not trying to get a first down on 3 and 9. We need an actual QB for that.

Hey Guru how about "WE" put this on the line. You being the "Guru"   that you are and me being a football "casual" at this point of my illustrious career. I say Fields goes for no less than a 3rd round pick. You believe he sucks and has no value. With this being the case this should be a,slam dunk for an "expert" such as yourself correct? I'm willing to wager on it. Small donation to the CFMB pot to the loser. What say you?

Wow the 11th pick in the draft fetching a 3rd rounder a few years later is a win for Fields not being bad ?

Mac Jones to Jags for a 6th round pick. That should give you a relative idea of Fields value. 3rd to 4th rounder

No one likes Mac Jones. That kinda kills your return.

I haven’t been proven wrong yet, teams don’t seem to be lining up to put Fields at quarterback for their team.

Justin Fields is a below average starting quarterback

Mac Jones is not even a starting Quarterback, and he's an awful athlete

You are just being stupid

It’s still possible Fields fetches a decent pick.. but the Bears have to wait it out now and hope teams like ATL don’t land anyone in FA or in a different trade. But.. I don’t think a 3rd rounder or even possibly a 2nd rounder are completely out of the question depending on how the desperation plays out.

Atm, that Jones trade sets the market pretty low for Fields (tho I think he’d still fetch more than a 6th rounder). At this point, the Bears can and should wait to make a move.

But from a passing standpoint, Jones' rookie season is better than anything Fields has put on tape from the pocket. Jones completed almost 68 percent of his passes while helping lead the Patriots to the playoffs.

Even in a horrible 2023 season, Jones performed better in the fourth quarter than Fields.

Among 44 quarterbacks who threw at least 40 passes in the final frame, Jones ranked 18th in passer rating at 92.5, and Fields ranked 41st at 53.4. In the fourth quarter, Fields completed 51.1 percent of his passes for 552 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions, while Jones completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 654 yards, five touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Thirty-one quarterbacks threw at least 20 passes while trailing with four minutes or less in the game. Fields ranked 29th in rating at 22.1. Jones ranked 11th at 85.3

The league is setting the truth straight on Fields - he's not special. Sorry, LTG and other cult members. Truth hurts but we've been trying to tell you.

Funny shit from you once again. Here you have a very small group of "Bear's fans" as well as "Bear's haters" Who apparently cherry picked Field's critical critiques from the press and have the temerity to call those who value Field's abilities a silly "cult". Now you have advanced your silly quest for credibility in this matter to a really stupid statement that the National Football League as an entity has decided that Fields is not
capable of being an NFL quarterback.

So now, meat hater, where in the hell do you obtain the apparent hutzpah to claim that a few people to be the arbiter of the worth of Mr. Field's as a football player? As a football fan, I would say that there are a boat load more of Field's fans than you and your meager group of anti-Fields advocates.

I think that is what we have learned. The NFL does not believe Fields is a starter.

I saw that earlier. Clark ran that idea back quick. Chris Canty talked about trading Fields after the Redskins game. In hindsight, he was absolutely right. His value was never higher. He said that at the time too.

He'll be the starting QB on an NFL roster at the start of next season. Book It!

Probably true, but not any team’s first choice.
