The Bears were unlikely to ever get more than a 3rd for him to begin with. Some team will will make an offer for him eventually. I still think Minnesota would be an interesting place for him.

There's no way Fields can function in the system that O'Connell runs. The Vikings will have 0 interest in him. Any other ideas?

Many in the media and on CFMB were predicting Fields would yield a first-round pick on the trade market.

Giants. He’s a better version of Daniel Jones. He’s a homeless man’s Josh Allen.

Make it happen.

That would seem to be the best possibility given Daboll's strengths as a coordinator. Are the Giants dumb enough to go for it?

It wouldn't be dumb for a 3rd round pick or lower. they do have an extra 2nd-round pick this year, but I would hope they would not trade that for Fields.

That Seahawks second rounder gets it done. Use 6 to draft a playmaker or Alt.

Steak dinner boom.

Of course from the Bears point of view that would get the deal done. Giants have too many holes to fill to give that pick up for Fields, in my opinion. I do like the idea of being able to use that number 6 pick potentially on Nabors.

I can't see the Seahawks giving up a 2nd for Fields who really isn't much of an upgrade over Geno Smith. Unless they want to pivot to more of a running QB under their new head coach.

I like D'Andre Swift. That wouldn't have been my first hour priority.

I would have rather paid Monty last year if we were going to spend at RB

You think Fields is a better quarterback than Geno?

The Giants have the Seahawks 2nd rounder.

Of course you can't, because the Seahawks don't have a second round pick this draft

Bernstein said he found it great that he was speaking publicly about sex addiction amongst athletes, because Bernstein remains very, very weird.

he does those ads for the online therapy

swift has had knee injuries

at least its a market contract and Swift definitely has more big play capability than what they currently have

They are showing their hand for the draft. That Gabe Davis contract was a layup.

I guess you hold onto Fields until after the draft now.

Absolutely not. The only big games he has during the remainder of what will prove to be an undistinguished career will happen against the Bears.

He's gonna break 70-yard runs all over the place.

Anyway, Tannehill is available isn't he?

I'm sure O'Connell would much rather have him than Fields.

We're down to Denver, Las Vegas, Minnesota, Washington and New England who will likely look for starting/future QB's in the draft/free agency.

Teams like Seattle, NYJ, Cleveland could be in the hunt for insurance. Maybe others.

At least 2 of the teams above - Washington and New England - seem likely to take a QB in Round 1 which leaves Denver, Las Vegas and Minnesota as teams that would start Fields if they traded for him and others as some level of insurance for their starting QB.

Now, it's becoming a preference between McCarthy/Penix/Nix vs. Fields for those teams.

Most speculation around the remaining teams have clear questions:
- Peyton would prefer more of a passing threat than Fields, but Denver has to eat 2 years (I believe) on Wilson's deal so this could work financially. They have been linked to Darnold already.
- According to Bernstein/Holmes, Getsy sabotaged Fields throughout the last season.
- Minnesota being a divisional rival.

What will the narrative to be to his fan club? I thought Getsy was the problem, and that he was unable to design an offense to Justin’s liking.

He would have 2 really good receivers.

I have seen several reporters dispute the Score belief they had a bad relationship...but Dan Bernstein has "sources"

Sean Peyton thinks fields is garbage. Check out his comments after the Denver Chicago game last year. Hardly complimentary. Minnesota's offense requires things Fields doesn't do or doesn't want to do. Doesn't make sense as a fit.

Is Poles hoarding cap space to assume a shit contract for a draft pick? Is he waiting on the Chargers or Higgins?
