Damien Woody's indictment on NFL coaches not wanting to totally change their offensive philosophy for highly passing game flawed Fields is priceless. Add current non Bears NFL coaches to the racists list.

The Fields Cult is truly amazing, they are bringing the Far Left and the Far Right together, amazing.

Lombardi today on Fields :

Still some delusion on this board and on the radio.

Parkins/Speegs: he's obviously a starting QB in this league

Board: he's definitely better than Minshew and Winston

Both are wrong per the numbers, conventional and advanced. It's not like he's light-years behind Minshew but he is behind. So I don't know what the outrage about Minshew is about - he actually plays QB better than Fields despite being less talented trait wise.

I think the guys fields is definitely better than (for now) are guys like Ridder, O'Connell, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones. Guys like that, but that's about it. I don't know about drew lock or darnold. So still some delusion in the waters, Lombardi is right.

You sure about Zach?
Look at the numbers including 4th Q

Yep there are only a few people worse than Fields in the 4th but in the aggregate going by both QBR and EPA Wilson was bad. Fields peers following 2023 are the Dobbs, R. Wilsons, and Howells of the world but guys talk about Fields as if he self-evidently belongs in the Prescott, Allen, etc tier. Like guys just want to assert that fields is obviously elite regardless of three years of below average performance data on Fields. It's really bizarre.

I thought Zach had him beat in 4thQ wasn't sure overall.
Obviously no good choice between the two of them.

The lunatic fringes and the Cult ought to be forced onto a barge that is to be left in the middle of the sea.

We'd lose Jorr and a few other posters, but the US would instantly become a better place.

Lotta out of town stupid commentary already, to add to the in town cult stupidity.

He's better than Russ
He can lead us to the playoffs
He's gonna elevate us to heights we cannot imagine.

Yep, surely the 10-28 42nd best 4th q QB is the prince that was promised for y'all. Good luck.

The Steelers can assume the Fields Cult. The Steelers is the place where failed Bears quarterbacks go.

Russell Wilson is quite durable and doesn't miss many games. Fields' opportunities to play he'll be ice cold coming off the bench with a backups practice reps or filling in occasionallly whole games.

Listened to a little of Larry Holmes fantasy spiel playing the victim and race card. In reality Fields' ego will be tested having very little league wide trade value.

Former Bears director of player personnel Josh Lucas, who was on the staff that drafted Fields, has revealed why he believes the price was so low for the No. 11 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

"Our main concern was: 'Is this just a two-year starting quarterback in college that needs more time? ... Or is this like a lack of instinct?' That was our big question, and after three years, I would say there's a little bit of an instinct issue there," Lucas said on "PFF NFL Podcast." "It's why I think the league just told you he's viewed as a backup quarterback right now more than a starting quarterback."

hard to argue with that assessment. its not like its rare. we all thought lemar jackson would be the jordan of the NFL and he cant even win playoff games. hes won two, and one of them was a fucking wild card. and, if you directly compare the two right now, you would say jackson is lightyears better than fields.

another way to look at it too. were the bears wrong about mitch trubinsky? again, some of us actually thought he would do well in pitt. he did just score a 5mil bag from buffalo though.

Werent most of his fumbles on sacks? Not really on times when he would take off and run

It’s a more glamorous version of Tim Tebow: Punt Protector.

ouch. devin hester , which justin likely would not surpass, is only worth $10mil to this day  he earned 32mil from the NFL, and certainly had at least some endorsements? what in the actual fuck .

but that also means, justin would have a pretty secure path to $50mil if he just does punt returns, even if he only gets half the yards devin did. if he continues to fail at qb, i dont know if he can fool people long enough to believe he can be a backup.

I guess we should be thankful we got a 6th round pick. They saw him throw in person and said well maybe he can return kicks.

If they want to make kickoffs matter again, let teams make one forward pass per return.

Nothing has changed with him. He has to look within if he's going to fix the flaws in his game.

he hates aurther because hes very detailed in his explanations

i cant wait to watch him play. it will be exactly what he was in chicago.

he certainly looks happier though. he really just hated the city of chicago. i dont think he even hated the bears. just didnt want to be in this city.

Admittedly, it has been a long time since I have been to Pittsburgh. But other than some hills and Iron City Beer, I am not sure what more it has to offer than Chicago does?

Anecdotally, they seem to have some very knowledgeable fans, especially the biological women. Years ago, Spaulding was a knowledgeable Bears fan.

Pittsburgh isn't all that different than Chicago. Smaller though and less crime maybe. People are nicer.

IF and when he plays just wait until Pickens takes multiple snaps off because he’s been wide fucking open and Fields didnt throw him the ball. You won’t be getting DJ Moore levels of professionalism and towing the line to protect him.
