He took less to play for the Bears.

He only had three penalties and allowed 2 sacks last year. In Bears center arena that is HOF.

slightly above average run blocker and below average pass blocker

Poles thinks that if he combining little piles of shit into a big pile of shit makes it turn to gold.

He had the money. He has to see the need. Why not just go out and get this position right?

Tom Thayer was raving about Matt Pryor playing guard this morning. He said he was a monster playing there last year. It sounds like the Bears are getting competition for Davis and preparing for a Jenkins injury.

Yup, basic competency at the position will elevate the entire line.

This is a sneaky good move, not the biggest guy, but he is the best center they have had on the roster in three years, of course that is a very low bar, but another competent vet.

Poles obviously hated his depth on the o line, Borom is certainly gone along with Patrick and Kramer.

You are getting a huge tell on the type of offensive lineman Poles covets, but you are seeing them grab guys that fit the offense across the board, now they just need a QB that can run it efficiently.

At least they signed someone that has experience playing C instead of a guy that mainly plays another position but is going to try out C.

Baby steps I guess. Hopefully they still draft a C.

Wow. Dj Moore and Allen is a pretty nice top end of a WR group

Agreed. Let's hope Allen has another year or 2 left in him.

Poles also signed another backup lineman

Trading the #1 pick is officially off the table.

You don't trade for Keenan Allen if you are keeping Justin Fields

Caleb Williams and Keenan Allen both wear the #13.

That is the only problem with this trade.

At worst, he's just good if he's healthy. We'll have the best quarterback and receivers in the division in 7 weeks. I may need to see a doctor for this Bears erection.

Tyler Scott too. Keenan Allen will do the right thing. Scott doesn't have a choice.

Agreed. No one cares what number Scott wears.

I can’t wait to draft bears in fantasy football

I'm not so sure about that.

The Commanders want Caleb Williams badly, and I'm still not sold on the fact that Poles is sold on Williams.

Tom Thayer is an entertaining personality but an absolutely terrible analyst.

I have a little anxiety about this as well. I'll stick with Poles should be fired and murdered if he's afraid to make the pick.

I agree. He can be too PC. Occasionally, he honest or pissed.

So no WR at 9 I assume…what then? They haven’t really addressed d line. They’ve signed a bunch of backups on the o line, but no way he’d take an interior lineman that high.

I could see a trade down a few spots and going with edge rusher.

I would still like to see them take a WR tho.

I think you have to add a year or two to his contract to give you some additional cap flexibility.

I think they are trading down to collect some draft assets since Fields isn't bringing the return they thought. I expect Verse or Turner to be their 2nd pick. The Chargers are definitely drafting a WR now.
