Seems like the making of a big time hire.

That really is a great hire.

if he has an above .500 season he's going to demand a new 10 year extension or move back up to a better job, but that is what it is for depaul

That "is what it is" for just about every team. Hell, Kansas had Roy Williams walk out on it. That being said, I agree with your premise, DePaul does suck.

This is a Big Time move and shows that DePaul wants to play for real. I wonder what his assistants are going to look like. I wonder if a guy like Kleinschmidt would want one of those jobs. If he does that would be a great hire. Obvious Chicago/DePaul ties and has connections to all of the big time programs in the city plus AAU through the Illinois Wolves program.

OSU taking off once this guy was fired isn't a great look. But its Depaul, maybe they wont suck for the first time in 20 years.

meh, that happens with pretty much every team in all of sports when they make a mid season coaching change.

Doesn't matter how good a coach this guy is, all that matters is what the NIL budget will be.

His staff is rounding into form.Byron Mullins was just hired as the lead assistant. Former Head Coach at SIU with big time recruiting ties to both the city and state. Father is the founder of the Wolves AAU program. Generally regarded as the 3rd best AAU program in the state behind the Fire and Meanstreets.

Good info, Dr. Style. Maybe there is hope for DePaul.

I think he was also the defensive coach at Loyola, which was the generator of their success without stars or height.
