They have far more wins as college coaches than he has. And his work as an NBA coach will definitely take some of the bloom off of that rose as well. And there are NBA coaches (,Rudy T comes to mind) with multiple Championships that didn't make it into the NBA Hall Of Fame) And NBA rings trump college rings any day of the week.

Nah. NBA accolades still Trump collegiate and Aguirre has 2 rings and was far more decorated as a player. Both pro and college. And if Donovan was going to get in based on his college coaching accolades alone then he'd already be in. Just as Jay Wright happens to be. Fact of the matter is that coaching in the NBA has lessened him as a coach in the eyes of MANY. And as far as his being an NBA coach, he sucks.

Given everything the Sox have done over the last ~8 months, Hahn deserves kudos. If the Sox continue to suck for the next 4-5 years, he will deserve and likely get a lot of negative press.

There is clearly a different philosophy in the way of doing things now with the Sox front office. Its basically the complete opposite of what Kenny Williams did for the better part of 11 years. Given that and what Kenny himself has publically said, it leads me to believe that Hahn was NOT 100% in charge of the roster regardless of what his title was.
